Loved it. Thank you ANU, free movie, free popcorn and a drink! What a great idea!

It won't be long until the Kambri will be one of the best music venues in Canberra. Has pretty good acoustics. It just needs a proper bar.

C

Cam Cunningham

Excellent little theatre and great value for money film experience.

New dreadful venue at the Kambri Arts Centre has been a real dampener on old Canberra institution. The building is the pits Cheap unimaginative and depressing. Blame the architects or the budget?

It's not the most posh or fancy but the movies range from the fresh(-ish) ones to the classics. Also offers international movies and movies relevant to some events (such as the moon landing anniversary). This is great bang for your buck.

The new Kambri cinema adds a new level of fun to the regular ANU Film Group screenings, with plush seats and brilliant sound and projection systems. There are always fantastic movies being shown, with plenty of lesser-known indie flicks or foreign films in the mix alongside Hollywood blockbusters and old classics. Buying a membership for the year is a worthy investment.

High quality sound and screen with cozy seats. Having a membership is convenient and affordable

A nice movie theatre in the heart of the ANU showing two movies a week (on Friday and Saturday evenings. Super frriendly atmosphere: audience members (mostly students, academics and bookish locals) often chat to another before and after the movies (even to strangers). NB: there's popcorn, no drinks, nothing but the movies.
