They were amateurs. And volunteers i guess. Who wanted to share their passion. Very interesting and informative. And they were friendly as well. Well done guys I hope they open again. I would like to go back and experience the same thing.

Sketchy, backyard with cheap telescopes, very expensive for very bad quality experience that can just experience in you own backyard. Very very very hard to find at night creepy people and unprofessional. I give it a 0.0001 of a star out of 5.

I'm a school teacher and took over 60 year 5 students and their siblings and parents to the observatory on Wednesday night. The students had the most wonderful experience from the Volunteers who operate the observatory from the moment we arrived we were welcomed into the clubhouse and had a very informative lecture were the students asked many interesting questions which were answered kindly and promptly. We then went outside to view objects in the sky that were pointed out with a bright green laser pointer and a video camera was displaying live views of galaxies and nebula on a television screen. From here we entered the main observing dome to look thru a telescope that had a mirror 20 inches in size which apparently was the largest one of its kind when it was 1st built back in the 1960's in the Southern Hemisphere. All the staff ( volunteers ) couldn't do enough to see we enjoyed ourselves and had the most enjoyable evening. Thoroughly recommend this venue for any school or parent wanting to take there children. 5 stars Alloway observatory.

Visiting Bundy on a recent work trip, found out they have an observatory not far out of town and was lucky to have a beautiful night for viewing. I have been to 3 other observatories in Aust and am always amazed at what we can see through a telescope even better when someone explains it so beautifully. Well done bundy observatory, worth a visit if your from out of town or a local.

Had my childs Birthday Party there and what a wonderful time all the kids had !!! Perfect night for looking thru scopes and the senior Astronomer Lonnie went out of his way to make sure all the children enjoyed themselves and all questions they asked were answered no matter how silly the question. Even got to enjoy some chinese lanterns being let off into the sky. My son had absolutely the best birthday and wants to become a member now. They even accomodated our birthday cake and treats 5 stars all the way
