Just had an amazing meal at Alkimos Fish & Chips. Fish was really fresh, delicious batter and huge portion sizes. The calamari is a highlight - best I've had at fish and chip shop. Highly recommend!
My wife bought fish and chips from here a little while ago and went to the beach close by to enjoy them. Best fish and chips we would say for quality and excellent customer service. Well done guys and we will surely come again
Well here is one for the books. Was craving fish and chips asked if they had punk snapper the owner said not just an employee ...the owner said No it is white . Again I asked is it pink snapper and again she replied no it is white if you want something pink we have a cod that is a pink fish... I was actually lost for words . I asked to speak to the manager or the owner and she said I am the owner. Decided there and then if she didn't even know what type if fish she had wasn't even going to risk spending my money... good luck to anybody that order a there I went to one across the road and so glad I did
I dont normally write reviews...We just ordered the worst fish and chips we have had in years. Thought we would try this place since the reviews were quite good and we just moved to the area...not sure what happened to ours but nothing like the pics online. Chips are completely brown and not even a handful of chips each for 2 adults and a 6 year old. Our child who loves chips would not even eat the chips at all. The snapper and shark were also small. Waste of 34 and so disappointing...we wont be back.

Popped in to grab some fish and chips on our way home and sooooo glad we did!!!! Absolutely perfect!! Lovely, crispy, tasty fish & chips. The grilled fish was cooked perfectly and the squid rings were very yummy! Best fish and chips we have ever had!!!! My son said the food was delightful and yum yum yum he ate loads. The owners were so lovely and friendly. It’s nice to walk into somewhere and be greeted with a smile. You could tell they put lots of love into their food. If you want to get your order on time go in early don’t wait until late then complain about the wait time they are doing the best they can do. Keep up the great work guys definitely will be back!!!!
Nice shop and it's our local here in Alkimos. They have banana fritters which is a huge plus and their regular fish and chips is prefect. We also tried out the fisherman's basket and some of the local shark which is all spot on. Chips are cooked nicely, everything is seasoned well and the fish and other items are very lightly battered without any heavy residual grease. The salad is also a stand out with loads of fresh iceberg, cherry tomatoes and peeled finely sliced celery -- a really nice touch. I'm tempted to try the Thai Fish Cakes next time. Portions are neither too small nor overwhelmingly large -- in fact everything is just right.
