I love browsing in a second-hand bookshop, especially the little hidden treasures that Melbourne specialises in. Alice's bookshop is definitely a hidden treasure - open by appointment it provides a wonderful opportunity to browse and explore to one's heart's content. Highly recommended.

This is my favourite second hand bookshop in Melbourne, where one can find all kinds of books. Especially old and rare copies and first editions. I was devastated, when I heard, that it might be closed down soon. So, take your time, visit this marvelous place, get your bargains and have a cup of coffee at the next door cafe.

Cute little bookshop that had a sale on when I went. 10 per book for any book. I found some interesting stuff in its vast and varied selection.

I’m such a lucky girl to get this score before I go to competition!!! Only 10 and good condition. Thank you for the lovely girl who helps me find this score:) and she can speak a little bit mandarin. Sorry I forgot her name!!! Definitely come back again and find more scores!!!

Great on prices with 50% off - they are closing down sometime in March so get in while you still can.

One of the gems that makes Google Maps special. When you come across this wonderful bookshop you realise the magic of standing in a real (not virtual) bookshop, browsing through tomes in your actual hands, the smell of books and all the ideas and imagination floating around. Nestled in the Rathdowne Village, where you'll find a great cuppa or pastry afterwards. There is no nicer place to hang out and let your mind relax and reinvigorate itself. A must visit for Melbourne!

Supporting your local book store is one thing but supporting a local bookstore because it actually is awesome is another. I encourage you to go exploring here and find one book to take home (or more). rediscover the lost art of browsing to find an adventure waiting on a shelf. because you cant get that online, just wandering up and down the shelves. And yes, I did buy something that I'll enjoy finding out if its an adventure.
