Played here since 2006, nice to have a dedicated basketball only gym in Sydney. The refereeing can be hit and miss but overall better than other amateur competitions in the inner city areas.

Coaches are garbage and think that they know basketball court is badly kept and players aren't at a challenging.

Good timber floors that are regularly resurfaced, but unfortunately the game of basketball that is played there has deteriorated almost beyond recognition. The referees' knowledge of what constitutes a foul is very limited. Often when you take a jump shot you get pushed, shoved and whacked. When you look confused at the ref you're only told "play on! play on!" Playmakers also get pushed around regularly, without defensive players having to assume a legal defensive position. Other experienced players have made similar observations. If you want to play real basketball, I highly recommend to play somewhere else. I played with City of Sydney basketball association for over 10 years, but can't anymore. I've switched to Sydney Social Basketball and it's such a delight to play when the refs actually call the fouls. Note that this has nothing to do with playing hard basketball. I've played in Switzerland's national devision and know what playing serious, hard basketball feels like. Not calling fouls has got nothing to do with it.
