I recently 'stumbled' onto Art Conservation Framers & Gallery via the internet whilst seeking the expertise of someone who would sympathetically rejuvenate a wonderful piece of my family history. The painting had sadly been neglected over many years, the canvas showing signs of deterioration, and the once ornate frame damaged. I took it for inspection at Tony's wonderfully eclectic shop and he carefully explained how his team would be able to return the subject to its former glory. A few weeks later I have been re-united with an outstanding restoration that has completely fulfilled Tony's promise. When I moved here, a creative friend recommended them as the best place in Melbourne for framing. Over the years I've been very happy with both the service and the framing advice. An especially helpful service is that they can also hang the artwork in your home - especially good of you have brick walls and need some advice on creating a photo wall... it's definitely worth paying the professionals to drill those holes!
