This was one of the best experiences of my life, and I can't recommend HeliTours North Queensland enough! My wife and I went on the Ultimate Sand Cay Experience with our excellent pilot and guide, Grant. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about all of our questions - and there were many regarding safety on the helicopter, options during bad weather, and what we were flying over on the reef. He arrived to pick us up from our Cairns hotel promptly, helped load our belongings, and provided a brief, but thorough, safety briefing before we got in the air. I could write for days about the experience on the sand cay, from snorkeling, to sunbathing in the provided chairs, to enjoying the snack and champagne toast included in the package as well. We didn't have to worry about set up, tear down, or clean up. We were able to fully enjoy our time on the private cay - an experience I'll never forget. Aside from the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, a truly great part about my experience was every encounter with the staff. I live in the US, and had to rely on the abundance of online information about tours to help plan this portion of my trip. That said, I felt assured through my conversations via email with Matt, that the team at HeliTours North Queensland had me and my wife taken care of for our adventure. Grant's handling of our tour in early September only confirmed that notion. I'm not trying to hype things up for show when I say that this was one of the best things I've ever done, and I can check one more off my bucket list.

WOW !! Thank you Matt and Heli Tours North Queensland. From start to finish truly amazing! Big surprise for my partner Sue, who had no clue. Very personal service for that special occasion. Great communication from the start. An early morning ( my choice) but worth it. Great local knowledge of the reef and surrounding area. We landed on Vlasoff Cay. Snorkelled on the reef and then sat down to local tiger prawns, fruits cheese and biscuits chose not to have the alcoholic option as had to drive but we still had bubbles !! Highly recommended *****

I'm a Cairns local and I am lucky enough to have done many of the tours available in this amazing part of the world. However, I have never done anything as special as this tour to visit Lizard Island with Heli Tours North Queensland. We were treated to an aerial view of the most iconic attractions in North Queensland. We flew over stunning Great Barrier Reef, picturesque islands, the Daintree Rainforest, multiple waterfalls and even flew up Mossman Gorge. And this was just on the journey to and from Lizard Island! Arriving to the Lizard Island we honestly couldn't believe the natural beauty of the place. The reef was vibrant and contrasted with the rocky/bushy landscape of the island. We landed at the airport and were transported by boat to Watsons Bay, where we spent the day snorkelling the fringing coral reefs. We saw giant clams, turtles, sting rays and hard and soft corals. The reef was in excellent health. When we were finished, Grant our pilot had setup a gourmet picnic lunch for us to enjoy. We ate fresh prawns, sandwiches, a gourmet cheese board, fruit salad and champagne. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing on sun chairs and took a short hike to see Watson's Bay from above. The flight home was just as memorable, with Grant providing us with really informative and interesting commentary on all of the landmarks we flew over. This isn't the first time I have been on a tour with Heli Tours and it certainly won't be the last. Thank you Grant & the team at Heli Tours for such an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this company to anybody thinking of a helicopter flight in North Queensland.

I cannot say enough good things about Matt and his crew! I was planning to propose during this excursion so I wanted to make sure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted it to. Prior to booking he was very responsive to my emails and made sure all of my questions were answered. He was knowledgeable about the weather conditions and suggested we arrive early (8am) so we could have the cay all to ourselves since we wouldn't be able to land if someone else was already occupying the cay. This really put me at ease considering this was our time in Australia and in a helicopter. He picked us up from our hotel at the exact time we scheduled. During the ride he pointed out scenic point of interests. Matt was hard at work setting up the picnic set while we were snorkeling in the GBR. He was a true sport because he offered to take as many pictures and videos as we needed, not one time did he complain. Although we had 2 hours on the cay to ourselves, it went by so fast that we didn't even get to finish all of the beautiful picnic arrangements. He really made our engagement magical. My fiancee and I will never forget this whole experience!

I just had the best experience of my life with my family! My husband organised this as a surprise for my birthday and it left me speechless... Matt and Bec made sure this was a special trip for us, they took care of every detail... Those breathtaking views of the reef and the mountains surrounding Cairns made my day unforgettable... Even better we got to land on a cay and enjoy for a couple of hours of the beautiful warm crystal clear waters. It was so good to be the only ones on this spot! We had champagne and a beautiful breakfast that included dried fruits, cheeses and prawns... I didn't realise Matt had taken some photos for us as we were busy having a great time so now we can treasure this day and share it with friend/family... I would recommend this trip to those who want a faultless and memorable experience in Tropical North Queensland!

What an amazing morning flying over the reef. The reef is stunning from the air and Grant was very knowledgeable of the area. We stopped at Middle Cay -so beautiful, then onto a secluded beach for a champagne picnic. A lot of pinch myself moments. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to do something very special as well as a bird eye view of our magnificent barrier reef. Thank you Helitours.

No better way to spend a day then sipping Champange whilst flying over some of the best sights in Far North QLD! I am a local in Cairns and this Helicopter Pub Crawl is by far the most amazing experience I have ever had in this part of the world. The pubs were fun and in remote locations, the pilots were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, and the views indescribable. This pub tour is worth every dollar and you’d be silly to miss out!!
