I have been a client of ADAD for the past 6 years. ADAD are a great agency to work with both for TV ad creative and media buying. Their TV ad production is very professional, creative and flexible enough to embrace tweaks to the production when needed. The end results are on target with strong cut through. Later iterations when the ads need to be refreshed are always of a high quality and build on the story already established. Media buying is very competitively priced and the team are always open to amend the purchase strategy for the best results. ADAD also proactively monitor the networks' delivery on media buys and will follow up with the networks whenever something goes wrong - which happens occasionally. ADAD will negotiate with the networks for additional airtime in these situations, ensuring the campaign is as successful as possible. A great team of experts to work with, with good communication, commitment and results driven.

My client and I engaged ADAD Sydney to run TV media advertising for 1 month. This test did not go as expected. That is OK, we understand there are no guarantees. But… the Account Director handling our campaign suggested certain outcomes pre-sale. Some figures were thrown on the table that surprised and excited us. When things did not go as planned, evident few days into the campaign, and I spoke to the Account Director he suffered from a bizarre case of amnesia. He did not remember any of the 3 main points or promises that got us over the line. I must admit, at this point, that I was informed by the Account Director that he did not appreciate my tone and that my approach was not constructive. I accept that, it's true. When later on my client formulated our concerns in writing we were told to refer to the approved agreement and brief to establish what was bought and agreed upon. Ha ha, smiley face. ADAD came recommended and we were informed their experience in the matter is second to none, they endeavour to give us the best possible chances of success. Unfortunately the market did not react positively to the value proposition, it did not resonate enough with the targeted audience in this instance. We know it is beyond ADAD’s capability to change such an outcome nor accurately forecast such a scenario. ADAD never focused on finding the weakness within the strength of a strong competitor though, rather chose differentiators that not necessarily are within the attention nor interest of the audience. As an aside we did not think the creative was the best possible standard. We do understand though the resources at hand were limited. Also post-campaign we were not convinced the selected media mix reached the indicated target market. Certainly the target market have not reacted to the value proposition as expected. ADAD are no different from any other agency or business; they are only as good as the people who work for them.
