The Ginkgo Gate was commissioned by the Board of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium, designed by local artists Hossein and Angela Valamanesh and fabricated by Peter Degaris in silicon bronze. The main panel rotates on a central axis with lattice-like outlines of ginkgo leaves.
