Can't believe it took me 3 years to check out Ballaboosta, after hearing recommendation by friends and reading reviews , we checked out this contemporary rustic cafe. Located centrally close to Adelaide CBD Ballaboosta offers more of a Middle Eastern/Greek menu with their food prep being . Every bite in every dish took me back to my Middle Eastern days! The lamb puff is a must try, it's listed under the tapas section. Such a great restaurant but please do make reservation as it gets packed!

Fantastic mix of Lebanese/Mediterranean dishes with a good selection of drinks and desserts. Thankfully we booked a table and were seated quickly but there was a line of people waiting outside with all tables (inside and out) completely full. The lamb with pine nuts for breakfast was particularly good. Would recommend booking ahead to save yourself the disappointment of potentially extended waiting times or visit during less peak hour times (given that people continually wait outside, it does reaffirm it must be a good place to eat).
The menu cover is very apt. I wanted a ligtht meal, but was too late for a breakfast omlette. No matter. The waiter suggested something which was absolutely delicious and not too heavy. The coffee was perfect. The staff were friendly and know their menu. There is something wonderful about wood fired dishes, breads and pizzas. They are busy, so you may have to wait, but it's worth it. I'll be back again and again.
The Mediterranean food here is sensational- the felafel, the fried kibbeh, the dips - wow! So good! The team were also so friendly and helped us secure a table but my advice would be to book as the place is absolutely packed. Lovely outdoor area where we lost ourselves in conversation and two bottles of wine - perfect Saturday afternoon
Booked for dinner there last night at 6.30, ordered 3 entrees and drinks and was about to order mains when the waiter said it was so busy he would have to ask us to leave for people waiting, I told him we were about to order mains and he said we could only have it as a take away! Perhaps you should have signs on the table informing patrons when it is busy they have to vacate the table within an hour.
Just bought two cappuccino take away, one large one small. When opened, it's just like this, no milk froth, no chocolate powder. And it's not full. The taste is bad. Never come back again.
Absolutely delicious breakfast, and this was my first time there. Would love to come back again ️
Cannot fault this place. Do yourself a favor and just sit down and order anything. You will not be disappointed. A real local gem.
