So many different displays and groups of plants. Lots of picnic areas. A full day of exploring is needed. Fabulous way to spend the day with children, adults or to wander alone. Make sure you stay for golden hour, the dappled light shining through the greenery matched with bird song is truly amazing

First time back at the Botanic Gardens after many years. We had a large family gathering and enjoyed the space, walking paths and ponds. Great place for our picnic. Great green space so close to the city. Only let down was the Car parking - very difficult with the family vehicles spread inside ring route, some over by the zoo and some on Hackney Road and then man packing everything in including the younger children.

It is better than the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens but it less convenient to me than then The Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.

Adelaide's personal garden, it's close to a lot of good attractions and tourists destination. Easy to get to by the tram and honestly has so much going for it during events. I would recommend coming here just for a walk or coming here whenever an event is held.

so beautiful! when we visited there were 3 weddings happening and what a beautiful place it’d be for one. there’s so much beauty to look at, including some wildlife (turtles and ducks!) we also went on a day where it had rained that morning so everything was extra lush.

The Adelaide Botanical Gardens is one of my favourite places in Adelaide. Apart from the amazing succulent garden and the historic glass house, the gardens are the perfect place to keep cool in summering enjoy a picnic. During the Fringe Festival it's also possible to enjoy a performance of Wind and the Willows or a piece of Shakespeare.
