I really wanted to support a local small business, but after receiving such poor customer service I feel compelled to warn others. After the original suggested lead time for the painting I wanted to have framed had passed without me being contacted I decided I would give the business a quick call to see how things are progressing. The woman who answered was downright rude in response to my simple query of "Hi just following up to see how my job is progressing". No new time or date was given, and she (rudely) told me that I will be called. I let a few more weeks pass before heading back to the store to check in, and the gentleman there explained that they are having some delays and couldn't tell me when my job would be completed. No worries, I get it.. We are all struggling a little. I know Covid has delayed things for many businesses, so I let a few more weeks go before dropping in again to see how the job was progressing. This time a women (Her name was never offered) asked me what I wanted.. I inquired as to how my artwork framing was coming along, only to be met with what I could only describe as hostility. Actually she never fully answered me, simply just walking away from me muttering it will be finished soon. I barely opened my mouth, showed no frustration and was in there for mere seconds before being met with this attitude. They have had it for months.. but I never once complained... I just asked how it was going every month or so. I fully appreciate Covid has delayed things, put us under pressure and caused disruption to business... but I honestly don't understand why I needed go be treated so poorly. Sadly it appears this business has a poor reputation of this kind of behavior, I gave my partner a "IOU" for their present at their birthday (since the artwork wasn't finished) and a few people at dinner mentioned they had similar treatment from this business over the years.

Very unhappy, dropped off a canvas to be framed as a Christmas present on 1 October, told it would take max 6 weeks so ready around 12 November. Followed up on 8 December to be told we will call back when we find your canvas to give you an update, quite rude on the phone. No return call so visited store on 9 December, no customer service or apology just told that it wouldn’t have been done yet, requested canvas back and after 5 minutes it was located rolled up in a draw. Upon person returning to me no apology just that “all canvas shops are 3 months behind” however I was not told this at the time of drop off only told max 6 weeks by the same lady. Tried to support a local store however will not be returning here again.
As an Artist, I use Action Framing exclusively. They have always given great service and I would highly recommend.
Rude staff, did not complete my canvas in the time specified by them. Was never notified. So decided to collect it to take it elsewhere. Upon collection, my canvas was rolled up and creased. Would not recommend to anyone
