My advice is to stay away from Accom Townsville unless you enjoy paying Credit Card (CC) Surcharges. We booked accommodation in Townsville 7 months in advance and paid our deposit. Eight days prior to our booking date I had not heard from Accom Townsville and I emailed them regarding where I should come to collect the keys. 5 days before we are due to arrive in Townsville I still had not had a reply from Accom Townsville, so I emailed them again. Finally a reply at the end of that day. The emailed contained instructions on collecting the keys and the amount outstanding. No information about payment methods was contained in the email. So I phoned Accom Townsville and was told I could make payment via CC or Direct Deposit but they could not do either and did not know the Direct Deposit details. I would have to speak to Anna and she was not available. So later that day I phoned Accom Townville again and was able to speak with Anna this time, who informed me I could not make a Direct Deposit as it would not get into their bank in time, as they do not use one of the major banks. My only option was CC with a surcharge. The booking was for a month and the amount owing was in the thousands so any surcharge was not going to be cheap. I was left with no option but to pay the surcharge as it was now only three days before the booking date which I believe to be unfair. Accom Townsville could have easily sent out the email a couple of weeks before the booking date, included payment options and detailing how long Direct Deposit take due to their bank choice. Asked why this was not the case, the reply was it is in our Terms and Conditions (T&C) we emailed you 7 months ago. But I did not receive a T&C email, well it is on our website then.

Really enjoyed the service I received from Accom. I will definitely be staying again.
Moved into a two bedrooms unit at Morehead by Accom Townsville. Master bedroom toilet couldn't be flushed. Apparently whoever cleaned it prior to that knew the condition but did nothing. Floor drain hole was a bit stinky, broken fly screen unfixed, old sticky dropping and feather stuck to shower window. Dusty bedframe, bedside tables, dinning chairs, ceiling fans, dudty drawers and etc. After first complaint Accom arranged a cleaning. But the cleaning was poorly done, the dust simply shifted from one part to the other parts. Cleaner only went over what was pointed out, and left others such as study desk, chair, cabinet tops, and even lower shelves of bedside tables untouched! Worse still, cooker was dusty with gecko droppings found inside. Kitchen cabinets and drawers too cluttered, and some drawers were full of owner's junk, which to any standard was not fit for renting out. cockroaches were found twice inside the rooms. List of defects was shocking to any holiday renter. These are only partial defects, and Accom said the toilet and cleanliness was to its standard! Frankly I have never expected this substandard unit would make it to the holiday rental market. Accom need to do better in vetting the condition prior to renting out. Worst is in the fine print where very little money was refunded by moving out due to these very very substandard conditions. I wonder if office of fair trade would be interested in my case since I have all the email correspondence and photographs as evidence.

Paid a 300 dollar deposit than cancelled within 25 days of staying only to be told the deposit is now non refundable kind of poor if you ask me
