To say Abide was life changing would be a gross misrepresentation. My 12 day stay at Abide DID change my life. I am now a healthy, strong, vibrant and happy person. I tell people I feel lighter inside and out. Abide is not just a quick fix, but it gives you the knowledge and skills to make a changes in your lifestyle which are simple and long life long. I have reached my BMI and all my blood results after just two weeks, went from high cholesterol and high sugars, to NORMAL! My specialist has already reduced my medication by half, and thinks if I keep going Ill get off them, and my GP is recommending Abide to all her patients. Candice and all the team at Abide are supportive and make you feel like family. I have made life long friends with the people on the programme with me, and although we were all there for different reasons, we are now bonded for life.
Fantastic service.. I sent both my parents there recently and I visited them during their stay... the team were super friendly and very caring.. excellent attention to detail regarding food and nutrition.. the organic food was amazing, all grown on their own farm.. they even offered me lunch while i was visiting.. my parents returned today and although my dad initially found the vegetarian diet and 2-day juice fast a little challenging during his stay, he was excited to have lost 5kg in 5 days.. he's feeling healthier than he has for a long time.. so glad I found this place
Heartfelt thanks to the management, every single member of the staff from the duty manager to the nurse, the admin staff the ever so loving therapists, the wonderful smiley chefs, the cheery cleaners and everyone that was involved in helping my husband when we came down. Its the most wonderful experience of its kind we've ever had. My husband was healed mentally and physically. Hes doing so well and completely different man to who he was before we came to Highwood. May God bless you all and bestow more talents and loving care to each and everyone of you so you can help others in need. I highly recommend Highwood to friends and family and would visit again when we can.
