The scope of work that was required to my investment property was large for me. I have never experienced this type of damage which was incurred by a storm. Although my insurance is great to deal with I would like to say how grateful I am that I was able to deal directly with A1 Building on any given day. The first person who assisted me was Jaime, she was completely alert and efficient on the day of the contact. She organised immediate attention to the property. She made me feel at ease and I knew she had everything under control. The receptionist Denise who usually answered my calls was absolutely amazing. I cannot imagine the amount of calls she received on a daily basis however always made me feel that I was not being overly enthusiastic and she always went way and beyond than just directing me, she often actioned messages and return calls. Katie Jones was my person to speak with who was in control of my case. Katie was always available and always answered my questions via email or telephone within a few hours. Her efficiency and management skills and liaison with Mitch was constant and I believe that it was her that played the biggest role in the smooth progress of this disaster in my life. Katie played an important role in this journey for me and in my life time of dealing with other case managers Katie has by far been the best. I have so much gratitude for her. Although I did not speak with Mitch who I believe organises the projects behind the scenes he did a great job in the co- ordination of the whole mess. Thank you to the team at A1 Building. I have had such an amazing experience. I am sure A1 is a large company but the service I received was more of a small family business feel which makes a simple mum like me feel comfortable.

My parents house was badly damaged in the December storms last year. My parents are elderly and were very stressed about lodging their first ever insurance claim. I was not able to be available for all repairs and A1 staff and trades made sure that everything was thoroughly explained to me and to my parents before works went ahead. There were some initial delays with getting the repairs started (understandable given the amount of damage around) but AAMI and A1 made sure that the house was made safe at all times. My parents were very grateful with all the help and are very happy with all of the completed works!
I've had an insurance claim in since early January 2020 with APIA insurance who uses A1 Building group for all it's assessment reports. A1 have done nothing but obfuscate and delay compiling the report and sending this to APIA for what is going on now for 3 months. APIA and A1 Building have made this the worst insurance experience I have ever had.
