I recently put a deposit on arched plantation shutters with A Style of Shade, after being assured multiple times by multiple different people in the company that the time to manufacture these was 3-4 weeks, considerably less time than other quotes I had been given. I decided to choose this option as opposed to less expensive other quotes I had been given by other companies due to significant time sensitivity (being in late pregnancy), that the company was aware of. Two weeks after placing the deposit, I was told that the time was in fact incorrect and that the shutters would take around 3 months after the initial 2 weeks after I had already placed the order. This somehow took 2 weeks for them to learn and let me know about. Communication between staff at the company was poor throughout, and required multiple phone calls to clarify what was happening. I decided to get a refund and choose another company, and even obtaining the refund required multiple phone calls and emails from me. I don't recommend the company at all, and would advise you to take your business elsewhere.

Really impressed with the service and product from A Style Of Shade. We had our shutters installed within 5 weeks from our first appointment. The service along the way was great and the installation guys were super friendly and very efficient. Definitely would recommend!

Disappointed with the after service, it was nice when you approached them for the new blinds, but when there was warranty issue for repair, they don't seem to care, we have to keep chasing them and they wouldn't even call you when the blind has been fixed and returned to their shop, I have to called up and found out then they booked me in for installation but again the installer called in the morning of the installation day to cancel due to his unwell. After more than a week, the shop still hasn't contacted me to reschedule the new installation time, after some of my effort calling for 2 days, finally has spoken to someone to reschedule, apparently she said she has tried to contact me, but my line was busy.... Haha, my line was busy for the whole week?? I can understand people do get sick, that was total fine, no problem at all, but is the responsibility of the follow up from the office, they didn't even call up to reschedule and I have to called up after more than a week later to chased up for the installation.

We purchased some roller blinds 5 years ago and was really happy with the quality. Mark was kind enough to replace the chain drive to one of our blinds that had worn out even though we were one month out of warranty. Super good service and very friendly.

The sales rep. was really helpful and informative and was very accommodating of our requests as well as being very pleasant and friendly and providing a competitive quote. We locked in an agreed installation date 2 months in advance and paid a 50% deposit. About a week before the agreed installation date things started to go "pear shaped". First we were advised that our installation would be delayed by a week because "the factory was very busy". We would not accept this as we claimed that we should have been "first in the queue" given that we had booked a full 2 months in advance and we had already disposed of our old blinds for painting. Following our complaints, four of the five blinds were installed one day late with the fifth having to be sent back to the factory for alterations. The brackets were also the wrong colour and needed to be replaced. There were communication breakdowns with phone calls not being returned and other issues. The work was finally complete almost 2 weeks late and then with minor damage to our new paintwork. Considering that I gave 5 stars to our other three contractors (painters, carpets etc.), I can't really give this company more than 3 stars or recommend them.

Phone calls not returned, when you do contact them you need to start again with details, they dont seem to keep records. This was pre-sales, I can only imagine what after-sales would be like. Going elsewhere.
