We did 1 on 1 birth classes with Claire. This was done in the comfort of our own home and tailored specifically to what we needed as we were having a planned home birth. Both myself and my partner gained so much knowledge from Claire which helped my partner know what to expect and enabled him to support me through labour. I was able to completely let go during labour thanks to Claire’s advice, as I could trust in my body knowing what was happening was normal and nothing to be fearful of. Being prepared in this way and birthing my baby in a familiar, safe environment enabled me to have an incredible birth experience

Claire not only helped to prepare my partner and I for the birth of our son in Nov 18 but spent every minute assisting us in labour. Without Claire my birth would have been a very different experience. As soon as Claire arrived at the hospital we knew things were under control. Claire's presence and help throughout my labour was utterly priceless. The preparation and information we received prior gave us the power of a calm and confident birth. My husband and I invested a few weeks searching for the right doula (late in the third trimester) and when we found Claire, there was no question we would work with her. From the minute we met her for a coffee we were calmed with a wealth of information and we felt she helped us get organised. It turns out just 12 days later after meeting her and two prenatal sessions with Claire, we welcomed our baby girl. I feel on some level the three of us were meant to wait until we found the right person. The instant we saw her at the hospital we felt relieved and she was there during the entire labour and a little while after birth. Without her to support us physically, emotionally and helping us maintain a clear head during options put forth by medical staff, we would have had a very different experience, unlike our ideal journey. Postpartum, she has been an incredible support. She not only helped me but equally important, helped my husband navigate to be the best support to me. Claire is absolutely indispensable and the best investment one can make during a life changing experience. There is no question we will work with her as we grow our family. With Claire’s support, my husband and I have a wonderful positive birth story forever.
