I think staffs here deserve 5 stars. They are competent , polite, and friendly based on my experiences. I did my passport renewal last year and it was very quick. My second time experience was asking them if they received my email about the application form 15 for upcoming Myanmar election, same response- quick and hit to the target. Well done!! Keep up the good work!!

I am very happy with the service I received last week. Social visa application was processed, the visa was granted, and the passport with the visa was sent back to Sydney promptly, all were done within a day! The staff were approachable, responsive and reliable. Congratulations for the outstanding job. Thank you.

The worst and longest passport processing place in the world. Seriously, week after week of false promises and empty lies. How long does it take to process a passport?!!!!!

I have been visiting Myanmar almost every year since year 2000 and obtained visa from the same office. There was no drama and very helpful. At one stage I was in the rush to get visa in the same day and explained the reason on phone from Sydney. They advised to bring passport and completed necessary documents next day morning. I've got visa in the mid day. Much appreciated for the service. Only what we need is knowing how to approach the people with respect and understand their priorities and workload as well.

I thought i was the only person who felt that way regarding rudeness of the receptionist. Glad I'm not alone. She's clearly a rascist who doesn't like to deal with asians. Her tone and demeanour is appalling. Clearly her employers need to provide her training in customer service skills. If she doesnt enjoy her work, just quit for god sake.

Reviews about the lady who takes phone-calls is true. She has an accent that is definitely not burmese, and has such a rude and sarcastic tone, she sounds like she has better things to do than answering inquiries. If you are not happy with your job, then give in your resignation letter already! Myanmar Embassy, please read the reviews and fire her already, she gives the Embassy a bad reputation.

I don't know which Myanmar embassy you contacted but I spoke to Jane and she was polite and most helpful !!

Good service. Fast, professional, all questions answered over the phone and passport returned with visa within 10 days before my flight out of Australia and around a week on my second application. For some reason, this embassy normally requires 4 weeks to issue a visa (unless you submit a flight itinerary showing when you will leave Australia) when the embassy in Bangkok can issue one in 1-3 days yet there were easily over a thousand applicants per day in Bangkok compared to maybe a couple a day in Canberra until the e-visa system was introduced. Now with the e-visa system, there is little need to apply for a visa in advance unless you plan to enter the country at Htee Khee (where e-visas are not accepted for entry because they don't have internet access there) or need a multiple entry business visa.
