An incredible place with a rich history! Includes the oldest building in the Blue Mountains dating back to the 1830s. Lots to see inside and some great walks around the grounds including a trail which also acknowledges the continued Aboriginal connection to the land.

We could only see from the outside as it was only open for the weekends

As a 2019 Xmas present but delayed due to Covid but honoured on the weekend when I attended a ghost tour at Woodward Academy. One arrives for a 7pm start and 3 - 3.5 hours later the tour is complete. You are given free time of 1.5 hours to involve yourself in the moment and if lucky enough to experience an encounter. Personally I along with my 2 Ghost Hunter companions had no encounter but listening to the history of Woodford Acedemy and the " ghost" stories told ones imagination can create the atmosphere that things are abound. Woodford Academy has had a very colourful if not fatal history and along with its previous occupants is well worth the visit to hear of such Open days are held with dates notified via the Facebook page If I had one complaint it would be lack of direction on where to park for those interested you park in the church next to the academy.

Great historical icon in the mountains. Both famous and possibly infamous. Check it out.
