We had sent out application for a rental property over a month ago as soon as it was available and I have called several times to speak with the property agent about the property. I have left messages and told I would receive a call back. I never received a call back. On the most recent phone call, I asked if they received our application and a staff member stated she couldn’t find it on the database and will follow up with the property agent. We didn’t receive a follow up. I called again as I had missed the first open home due to being unwell and was advised there was a second booking on the following week as the property had time to be leased. I received a text message 1.5 hours before the open home advising it was cancelled and the home was leased. I contacted Megan directly advising her I was half way to the open home as I needed to travel over an hour distance to get there. She responded with “this happens, are you interested in another property?” I advised her it was late notice and asked why there was a second open home if the property was intended to lease and received silence. I expressed that I wouldn’t be continuing with the agency due to the inconvenience as this is a huge reflection on future applications. Megan responded with an arrogant and firm tone, “good luck in your search.” Understandable that the market is busy for rental, however, I didn’t appreciate the unprofessional response. Wouldn’t recommend to those who are expecting effective and timely communication.

3 years after moving into a filthy apartment that included old drug paraphernalia in the cupboards, we organised an end of lease clean through a contractor. IEA were in contact to tell us they weren't happy with the job so the contractor reattended at the agency's request but for some unclear reason, the agents refused them access on the day. They went on to charge us a cleaning fee but have refused outright to provide any invoice, photos or evidence of the costs and works required. Super dodgy, unprofessional outfit.
Property management couldn't be worse. Don't respect tenants, terrible at getting repairs done in timely manner, passing out private information without permission, all in all just don't really want to manage my rental property effectively. Just take them to the tenancy tribunal if they don't comply within a reasonable timeframe.
These guys are the most ethical real estate around! Dan and his team are super friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.
We were listed with them as interested buyers, but didn't end up buying through them so don't really know their service at all. Despite that.. have just received an email from them asking me and I assume all the other people who have posted positive reviews for them in the last 2 hours or so to go onto google to post a review to improve their score. All the people who post a review go into a drawer to win a pack with wine, cheese, umbrella, stubby cooler and MUCH MORE!! (I hope I win!!!) I am giving them 1 star for their ethics and values.

My experience with the property management team at IEA has always been highly professional, extremely helpful and also compassionate. They have acted promptly on my own queries and questions. I speak for both my wife and I when recommending this team highly.
Gazumped on a property with the help of the agent. We found throughout the negotiation process offers from other buyers were being shared around and even their stories, so no doubt our info was shared which is what helped to bring in another buyer to beat us. Even though technically not against the law, very unethical. Owner couldn't have cared less. Watch out for the smiling Cheshire cat! EDIT: You want to know which property? You did know and didn't care. You changed the course of our lives. When we saw the owner of your agency in local pub a few weeks later he couldn't even look us in the eye. We will never refer your service EVER and will go out of our way to ensure everyone in the Illawarra who is buying or selling knows what you did to us!
