Yes, their products are good quality, but I have never been so appalled by customer service. I went in to look at Akubras, and just to be clear I’m definitely going to buy one as I’ve researched them online, just deciding between a couple styles and colors. The salesman said if you’re not going to buy today come back when you are, and didn’t want to let me try any on unless I was serious about buying that day. This hat is expensive for me and an investment, I don’t make these big purchases rashly, I think on it. I felt pressured and limited on what I could try on. I’m now going to travel to Sydney to buy from a place with better customer service.

This is a great outdoors shop with only the best quality gear. They don't stock junk, only high end gear that will work properly and last a long time. The prices are mostly cheaper than buying online. It makes sense to phone them and drive down from Sydney, try on shoes etc here and take them with you rather than risk getting the wrong size online.

If you want the best quality gear then this is the place to go in the 'gong. Yes you will pay more for the item but you will also get a much better piece of equipment that will last you a lot longer. remember that you get what you pay for and quality comes at a price. This is our go to place when we need to get gear that will do the job properly and last for the duration.

Good gear, shame the customer service is so lacking. As an outdoor enthusiast, I want to shop here and support local business. However, the greatest detriment to this business is clearly the old man behind the register. His condescending and rude nature has caused me in the past to avoid talking to him And to drive 2.5hr to blue mountains for the same gesr, but with a smile. I would suggest if you want people to "shop local" and spend money in your store - as all of your signs say. Then stop pushing them away with your condescension and help them when they ask for it.

Don’t shop here if your expecting the ‘Old Fashioned Service’ promoted on the website. My husband went in here after the store being highly recommended and all he received was short tempered bad service from the owner...’old fashioned rudeness’!!! He made him feel so uncomfortable about trying on things...in particular an Acubra to make sure it actually fitted before purchasing that he ended up walking out. If you are so paranoid about potential customers purchasing things online you had better lift your game with customer service as this day in age it is the only draw card to buy local. Unfortunately this place just doesn’t offer that to genuine customers who are after the personalised attention and want to buy in store!!!
