With four children and eight adults booked in, there were plenty of things to do to please everyone. A heated pool? That was a bonus! Everyone had a dip. The welcome pack on arrival was extremely generous. Luxury bedding and bathroom linen. Towels aplenty for swimmers . Two fridges...another bonus. Interaction with animals with the help of the wonderful farm manager. Games, wombat hunt, trampoline. open fire were all part of the fun. Speedy replies to queries. We'll be back!

Wow, Wow Wow, what a fabulous experience for any family or group of friends or both. The accommodation is exceptional, clean and filled with welcoming touches to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. AS guests we could not have asked for anything more! Annie and Michael are wonderful, caring hosts that assist with entertainment and education component of the farm stay for the kids, who are still raving about their stay and asking when they can go back to 'The Farm'. We stayed in the cottage whilst our friends stayed in the main house, it was a perfect destination for the large group, and we were able to cook and share meals in a such a comfortable environment. The kids were busy the whole time, with the pool, trampoline, table tennis, animals and rides on the golf cart. Only a short drive from Sydney this is a great getaway that we will be booking into again in the very near future, needless to say, we could not rate this adventure higher!
Unforgettable holiday trip and had a great time with 5 other families at Wollombi Brook Family Farm Stay , beautiful and comfortable home with everything in the kitchen, It was perfect for either a big group or a small group. Complimentary Breakfast hamper is lovely too, The view was incredible and there were many activities for the children to have fun with. 100% recommended.
Highly recommended! Nice and modern interior with clean stuffs (blankets,dishes,foods etc. just everything :)) My 3yo toddler loved feeding the black angus and horses. Perfect place for a family holiday!
We stayed in the Cottage at Wollombi Brook Farm - two families including a 2 year old and a 3.5 year old. We fed the animals (cows, horses, alpacas) each morning with the caretaker (Geoff - super nice guy!). Both the kids were a little scared of the animals, but doing it a couple of time got them warmed up to the experience. We BBQ'ed each night, and sat outside until the bugs chased us inside. Wollombi is a cute township within a short drive - so nice to go out and explore if you have time and the inclination.
In December 2020 we took our grand children for a 3 day pre Christmas break we stayed in The Cottage which provided us with quality and luxury beyond our expectations. There was no shortage of things to do our grand children were fully entertained and were thrilled with all the animals and the close proximity they had with horses chickens cows etc etc. we would recommend you should book now as it will be a time to remember for 2021.
We had a wonderful weekend away - two families each with 3yos who couldn't be more thrilled to be running around the paddocks, riding on the tractor, feeding animals, toasting marshmallows at the outdoor firepit, taking turns on the swing, going on an exciting bear hunt (bushwalk)...so much fun and adventure. Michael and Annie were the most generous and lovely hosts, taking the kids out around the property on the tractor. A beautiful and peaceful pocket of the Hunter Valley, it was a chance for all of us to escape the city and relax. We will be back for sure.
Awesome family farm stay. Both Annie and Michael were fabulous hosts. Showed us around the property to begin with. The kids loved it. Cows, horses, chickens, alpacas on the farm. We were able to feed them. Great for large groups, as there is two properties close to eachother. Oh and a heated pool again kids loved it. There were thoughtful things such as a cast iron pot to make damper they provided, marshmallows and lollies for the kids.. We could not have asked for anything more.
