If you driving pass this area. You have to drive pass and get something to take away or even dining in. It was a very nice place with several seating for you to have some food. Price was reasonable. And staff was friendly. I had the egg salad sandwich for 5.
The food served here is always fantastic. The fish is lovely and everything is clean and delicious. We travel from Warners Bay in to Wickham for their food because it's the best in Newcastle and it never changes.
Excellent take away menu, hot & cold, hamburgers to fish n chips, sandwiches, rolls & wraps all cooked / made to order, fresh every day. Many delights made from scratch. Drinks, Ice creams, Bread, Milk & an ATM. Unbeatable prices, even more so considering their location. It's a wonderful family run business & they're happy, caring foodies who know all there is to know about T/A. Thanks 10/5 Stars
Chips are always cooked perfectly, the people who run the join are always very friendly, affordable pricing. Unfortunately they only take cash but there is an ATM inside the store. Best takeaway join in newy

We had takeaway lunch from here couple of days ago because the entire family felt like fish and chips after a walk on the beach and we saw glowing reviews. Not sure why this place has 4.5 stars?? The food was awful, cheap but awful. The oil was very old evident by the chips (smelly, yucky, overcooked), the batter on the fish was very thick, and under cooked. The calamari were, I can't describe it, dry, old, yuck. We all ate a bit because we were hungry, but threw out more than half. We soon regretted not throwing it all out and opting for a different lunch as all of us felt unwell for the rest of the day. I felt bad for my husband because it was his birthday :( If there was a zero stars that's what I would give this place. Never again. If this is the best fish and chips/takeaway Newcastle has to offer, as per some of the reviews, that's pretty sad.
