Festival is a great place. It is the Hillsong City Church now for 4 weeks while the comedy festival is on.

Pros: sound is good (should have more bass) Bar and toilet facilities are good. Watched Tiesto (twice 10 years apart) both incredible nights. Cons: ventilation and air conditioning sucks, big time. It becomes like a furnace in there.

Great Place now Hillsong Church! Free to enter iconic place. Great music/worship-Blessing and encouraging word all for free known as GRACE.

Went to see Iggy Pop and had a brilliant time for my first Festival Hall concert. The staff are laid back and up for a chat, there are plenty of bars which are easy to access and priced at about 10 dollars a beer and 12 dollars for a pre mix. We sat side on but the chairs were well spaced and the sound and view were fine. It was an awesome experience, I would recommend attending anything they have at Festival Hall.

Easily Melbourne’s most in-need-of-love large live music venue. It’s big, which is great, but the acoustics are a shambles and for whatever reason the stage is in the wrong place. I’ve seen some great shows here - all the way back to Public Enemy in ‘91 - but I’ve never really wanted to go here. If it’s the only place a band is playing, hit it up. Otherwise please avoid this jumped-up shed.

Fantastic venue with excellent visibility to the stage. Huge and open, so avoid the usual cramped feeling at shows, but still maintains the intimacy that gets lost at arena shows.

I spent much of my time here staring at he ceiling, which resembles the inside of a great airship from a Syd Mead drawing, or rather gouache painting, which you would recognise if you saw one of his drawings, or rather paintings. One has the sense they are being transported like livestock across the galaxy, as the hull of the great vessel vibrates with sounds from the Dark Ambient concert you are supposedly listening to. Thanks Paul and Tony for a great night
