I can’t speak more highly of the incredible doctors and nurses. The amazing facility and treatment while admitted at Mercy Health hospital. So caring and I had my own room. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

As it’s one of the renowned hospital in Australia so service should be improved.

5 stars for the care given by Nurse Gary (had an English accent). I was there yesterday morning for day surgery and he was so warm and cheery, and made me feel at ease for my procedure. Thank you so much, your friendly demeanour made all the difference to what can be a daunting experience.

Horrified at the wait time. Attended at 6.30 of evening - serious infection (sent there by GP for treatment) and was advised to go home and return in morning when less busy. Returned 5 am and had to sit in waiting room in pain with a temp and infection that went from hip to knee for over 7 hours. I understand busy, I understand Triage but this is just ridiculous!!!!!!

Waited 6 hours to only get a blood test done as did others just so they can be shut up yet no results. I am currently pregnant and had constant bleeding yet this wasn't an emergency for a doctor to see me. Absolutely horrified at the wait times. Receptionist/nurse guy was just rude and had attitude seemed like he liked patients suffering.

I had a day surgery a couple months ago. I got in quite quickly which was impressive. I was very nervous of my surgery but most nurses were pretty good with keeping me calm.. one nurse was on her phone though while checking me in which wasn't a good look. My surgery went ok.. although I was badly burnt during the procedure (something about the metal retractors conducting heat??) and now I have a permanent scar which is nearly half the size of my incision scar. It also took longer to heal then the actual incision and was quite painful. My upper arm is also numb and I was never told that could be a side effect. In fact, no side effects aside how I'd feel once woken up were discussed with me prior to the procedure. The staff were lovely, but the surgery itself wasn't ideal.. use plastic retractors!!

Thumbs up to the team who cared for me when I presented to emergency with a severe asthma attack. They were quick, efficient and helped to keep me calm while we waited for my airways to open up again. The ED doctors were great too and I was able to be discharged after a couple of hours. People who complain of waits, don't realise that true emergencies need to take priority as it's a matter of life and death. If you are waiting, that's a good thing!

I had a positive birthing experience here in the maternity ward and wonderful, supportive midwives throughout my stay. My newborn had to be admitted through emergency a few days later, and the paediatric team of doctors were very informative and patient with explaining the diagnosis. The nurses in the paediatric team were also very helpful with teaching me to breastfeed successfully. Great hospital in the local area. Thank you healthcare workers!
