Got to say this was a pleasant surprise. Had lunch here with some friends. Kids enjoyed the playground and the food was great and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back again.

Wow this place is so small inside, it’s like a food court more than a club, had the chicken schnity was ok, also had the flathead and chips, was just ok too
Extremely disappointed. I came to celebrate St Patrick's Day with friends and family at the Shamrock Inn (for the past 14 years), then to have for the first time ever, my friends 14 year old son (who's been coming since he was 6 months old) kicked out for being under 18. The signs at the premises and website clearly state that it is against the law to sell or supply to under 18's but nothing about sitting with friends and family drinking a pink lemonade celebrating his heritage, to be against the law. Once a family friendly establishment for the annual St Patrick's Day celebration, now a complete disappointment.
The Chinese restaurant was once one of the very best on the North Shore. BUT I was greatly disappointed with our lunch. Our regular dishes were absolutely tasteless Maybe the Chefs forgot the garlic/ginger & other spices .The orginal Chefs are no longer there which is a great shame as the menu does not have a lot to choose from and definitely not as tasty & enjoyable as when they 1st opened. Not recommend the Chinese restaurant BUT the Bistros roast of the day looked very tempting, maybe next time
Great little club with good choice of Western and Asian meals plus a nice cafe for coffee and cake. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Thanks Magpies
Very close to our place so it is so convenient to pop up and grab a delicious food from The Kitchen Restaurant my fav at Magpies Waitara I love the coffee and cakes from Peggy’s Cafe For those who live in the area, it is a very nice option to meet friends and enjoy a nice food with a fair price.
Although the Chinese food at Magpies was once really good, I was disappointed with our last meal there. So very bland. Also the advertisement on their TV said they served 'cocktails'. OH dear! Management, please make sure your staff know how to make them before you advertise. One staff member did not know how, so she called another staff member who seem to not quite know what he was attempting. I waited 15 minutes for this cocktail to arrive and as expected quite dreadful. I do believe the waiter added so much excess lime juice that it was quite terrible. I took it back but was offered the explanation "We are not a cocktail bar". Not good management.
I did not dislike it. It's the Seniors lunch is not appropriate for seniors diets....its pies and chips together. Not good at all as healthy food for the older people. That's all
