Very well designed, clean and best hospital in Sydney to have a baby or surgery. Doctors, nurses and staff all are attentive, caring and professional. Food quality top notch - very tasty, not like other hospital blend food. Very modern, well equipped facilities. There is a pharmacy, book store, florist, hair dresser, aquarium and different places to eat. Parking always full, but you can park outside.

Have been at the SAN twice now in December 2020 & February 2021. Exceptional staff & facilities! Wonderful care & treatment! Cannot thank them enough! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
The hospital does not have much difference as compared to other public and private hospital. The overall experience was good and staff was quite supportive. I was admitted here for one day and I found everything satisfactory.
Disgusting, dehumanising experience for end of life care last month. Avoid if you love your family. Admitting doctor with a terrible bedside manner - poor, rushed explanations with medical acronyms and jargon. Missed scheduled appointments for family discussion and had a 'God complex' by not involving palliative care staff as the doctor felt there were possible treatment option even when other treating doctor advised otherwise. Lack of sincerity, including a cold, highlighted letter from accounts barely three weeks later with 0 marked as owing. This is not how CARE is provided. Yes, I will provide my feedback to the SAH 'customer feedback' team (awful term) and HCCC.
I stayed here back in November 2019, can’t fault the staff from being checked in to being discharged. The staff in ICU were really attentive and caring during my stay as I had major spinal surgery. Then the staff in the Harrison ward (I think it was called that) were great, I got to know all the nurses over my time there, and they were all great. They actually made staying in a hospital bed better than what it normally would. So hats off to them, I would give them all a hug (if I could). Then lastly the food was top notch, it was all very tasty, and nothing like your normal boring bland hospital food. I will definitely be back (hopefully not anytime soon!)
I went there for day surgery. I was looking forward after the surgery to being able to have maybe a sandwich or some toast and a cup of tea. I recieved a two jatz biscuits and a bottle of water. Really!!!! They charge enough to give you a four course meal. I recently had to get booked into a hosptial the doctor suggested the San I said not in a pink fit. If you are going to this hospital take a packed lunch. This is not an isolated incident my 16yr son had surgery there and he was given a small vegemite sandwich for dinner that was it. I hate having to review so badly but I hate when greed replaces patient comfort.
I just had a day surgery at SAH with excellent experience. People there are friendly. Nurses and Doctors are professional and very caring. I would like to thank you to Angela Clerk who took care of me tirelessly and provided valuable advices after my surgery.
Despite the private health insurance (with top hospital care) for my wife’s c-section, we continued to receive invoices for things that were not described upfront as wouldn’t be covered by private health; we also received an invoice for a second specialist surgeon who assisted the surgery when the whole procedure was straight forward (why should we be paying for a doctor whom we never consulted or were never told will assist). The care received afterwards was disappointing as they were clearly understaffed, will never return!
