Best school on the coast. So happy we moved schools. Great support from all teachers in each year level we have experienced.

I am a grandparent and both my grandkids commenced at this college. The earlier years they both felt comfortable, however, things started to change into 2020. The school became more like a military college with the college trying to take over the rolls of a parent. Their attitude towards students changed significantly and they failed to understand that all children are not the same, they are individuals with different temperaments and emotions. If a school wants everyone to be the same, like robots, then they should go to an electronics store. Children should be allowed to be children, and instilling behavioural attitudes into children is not the schools responsibility, it’s the parents. To be told that the school wants to build resilience in children, is outside your responsibilities and should be left up to the parents. When it comes to duty of care, it’s either the College way or as they say, the highway. There is no compromise by the school when sorting out student problems, as I learnt first hand. When I am told by school authority that children a lot of the time exaggerate, I find that extremely condescending when relating to the child. It appeared that the teacher is always right and the student hasn’t a creditable voice In what is occurring. The College appears to be more focused on above average academic students and those that excel in sports. If you want to run a college like a military equivalent, then maybe have the parents sign over all their rights. With the above in mind, I wouldn’t be recommending this college to anyone unless they changed their outlook and let children be children, still maintaining a certain amount of discipline, maintaining safety and duty of care.

Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals

A wonderful school, that provides plenty of opportunity and support for its students. There are many great staff, students and families. Sadly there are some students and families that are afforded an opportunity that don't want to take it, and they seem to be the ones that feel the need to post anonymous public negative reviews. How cowardly to not even put your name to it. What a shame that you don't appreciate the opportunities that you have had, but of course it is easy to play victim and make it someone else's fault. Apparently it is a negative to have some standards. What rubbish. Much like life you will get out of the school what you put in. My children thrived in the environment. My children had very little to do with the staff mentioned in negative reviews because they were not troublemakers. Go figure!? Thank you CAC for your life-long positive influence on my children. #CACgratitude

Both of my children have been at Coomera Anglican College since Prep. My son is just about to complete Year 12 and my daughter is in Year 10. I can honestly say that I have never met more passionate teachers, principals and administration staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The atmosphere across the whole college is amazing. The students want to be there and are passionate about learning. I myself have made some amazing friends through meeting other parents at various functions. I cannot recommend Coomera Anglican College highly enough.
