The Forster Tuncurry Rugby Union Club "The Dolphins" is a family orientated rugby union club, located in the famous Forster Tuncurry area of the Mid North Coast of NSW. Forster Tuncurry is famous for its Dolphins and that is why the Forster Tuncurry Rugby Club has selected the dolphins as its logo. Forster Tuncurry Rugby Club is all about having a good time in a relaxed family atmosphere, while also being competitive on the field. We see ourselves as not only ambassadors for rugby union in the area but also as ambassadors for the area when we travel. Forster Tuncurry Rugby Club is building a reputation as a family orientated club where players, supporters and entire families can enjoy themselves and join in the camaraderie of Rugby. As a” player run” club everyone is expected to help on game day, from running the water for other grades to running the BBQ and helping with setting up & cleaning up. Forster Rugby Club was formed in 1983 and played in the 1984 Mid North Coast Rugby Union (MNCRU) competition only to disband in 1993 due to the abolition of the MNCRU southern competition. Forster-Tuncurry Rugby Union Football Club (known as the ‘Dolphins’) was formed in 2003 and played in the 2004 MNCRU competition fielding teams in First Grade, Reserve Grade, and Under 19s.
