Landed at Melbourne airport today, went straight to buy my alcohol. Asked a staff member if they had Bunnahabhain an cladach single malt whisky, male store assistant said it’s all sold out. Luckily one of his colleagues overheard my conversation and said they did stock it, just slightly hidden on shelf. Went to get my second whisky; Teacher’s Highland Cream scotch whisky. This time was served by a different female store assistant. Asked if they stocked it, she confidently said no. I answered are you sure because I checked your website and it says you do, she said the website was wrong. Walked over to the 20 alcohol section and, low and behold... THEY DO STOCK IT! Ended up getting served by her at the counter and wouldn’t even look me in the eye and apologise. First Duty Free, please pay greater attention to delivery of customer service because it’s really the only way you will stay in business. And make sure you have staff that know what’s going on and the products you’re selling. Most people know that If you go outside to say Dan Murphy’s, it’s cheaper than what your selling it.

Super disappointed! Bought a lovely bottle of aussie spirits and was of course asked for boarding pass(es) and my final destination (Zurich with a stopover in Singapore).I arrive in Singapore, want to board my plane and am told that only duty free spirits from Singapore are allowed to Switzerland, no duty free alcohol from other countries... ...thanks for that FIRST...

First of all no one should ever work for this company , 2nd of all they allow there staff to get bullied and allow managers to degrade others and people more superior like to walk in and make you feel like your the victim , they also allow there employees to get paid differently even tho they are in the exact same position. Please be advised when walking through and walk with the most and cautious care, you will most likely be degraded walking through. Take care me fellow travellers x

Fake perfumes. Would never expect it from a retail store in Melbourne. Buyers beware.

Agree with the bad reviews. The arrivals duty free is shocking! Poor range and some of the most expensive prices in the region. The airport is privately owned and this duty free company basically operates without competition. You only need to look at their website which looks like it dates from 2000 and not 2018. You can't even browse their full range on their website. But they get away with it because they have no competition. To top it off they charge a credit card surcharge! I've stopped buying duty free in Melbourne. Not recommended.

Trying to find out if they stock a product I want but I cannot get through on the phone and they do not call back. I’ll purchase elsewhere just because I cannot find out if they have it and what the price is!! Guess they are relying on the uneducated making last minute purchases. With the ability to research items now it’s surprising they haven’t done something to get the sales.

The staff has charged me twice for one item. While I tried to contact the service team no one care about us!!! Disgraceful! DO NOT SHOP HERE!

This is a duty free store at airport Think high end alcohol, perfumes and electronics You actually walk through it to get to departure gates so its very accessible
