Bought a 2kg bag. Shouldn't have bothered, the shells are normal size but the mussels are tiny. I've never had mussels so small, waste of money, never buying Spring Bay mussels again.

Just had dinner at the Spring Bay Seafood and wine bar and it was amazing!!! The service was absolutely fantastic and the waitress well nothing was a.problem. We had scallops for entree and a seafood tower for two for main. Me being allergic to Fish (Not Shellfish) they even put the flake and salmon on a separate plate as to not contaminate what I could eat.

The weekend before last I purchased a bag of Spring Bay Mussels at the South Melbourne Market. The use by date was 15/11/2018. I opened the package on 12/11/2018. Once the seal was broken the smell from the bag was not ocean fresh. I started to individually check the mussels only to find at least half had an unpleasant smell. I also noticed a significant number of mussels with broken shells. I emailed the company to advise them. I received a prompt reply from the Receptionist advising that "I have forwarded your email to our QA Manager for investigation and response." That was on the 14/11. As of 20/11 response has been received.

Bought Spring Bay Mussels for the 3. time in the last 6 months today, and I was disappointed for the 3. time. While the shells were all 80mm in size on average, none of the mussel meat reached 19mm in size. All of them were no bigger than my thumb nail (which is quite small!). Compared to the mussels I am used to from the North Sea it was pathetic. I bought your mussels several times last year, they were nice then, but I am not wasting my money on such a disappointing product any more.

what has happened to your mussels.... my family bought in NSW and Vic and found them to be miniscule inside ....not worth selling and ruining your business reputation.
