the staff here are swell and the place overall is fine

Don’t go crook on the staff - they are doing the best they can with the lack of real numbers on board to deal with the demand. Go mad at successive governments who reckon everything is easier online - it isn’t easier. Put more staff in Centrelink, we’re all not internet savvy, especially for a lot of older folk in the area. I’ve been in a few times to sort out my elderly mum’s pension and other of her things, and the ladies couldn’t be more helpful. Expect to wait - they’re doing their best.

Had to wait, but they answered all queries

*The online websites are half functional at best and thrown together who was half arsed. *They say you can change details online but you have to call them if it is anything important that need to be changed you have to call them. *The wait times on the phone are absolutist nightmare. 40mins-2 hours is about the average wait time. *Sometime even if you go into a center they can't change the details for you and you have to call them. *They are also very unprofessional at the centers, making you wait 30mins for them to get their garbage in order. *Also the are far too reliant for the centerlink customer ID number that I hardly memorialize-able. Overall, all my experiences about Centerlink make me want to burn down their buildings so that they can start from scratch to build a better system.

The long waits for something so easy to fix are silly.
