This is my favourite market! They have everything you could ever want. As a previous store holder I can also say that the store holders get treated with a lot of respect and feel very appreciated.

Wherever there is food..I would say food kill me please, especially when it is freshly made from.the best ingredients using exotic recipes from all over the world. Food markets are always a stunner! Your appetite comes just like that and you really do enjoy your time there eating being serenaded by the various buskers and entertainers. On any day I will always enjoy my potato slinky! Some call them spiral potato. It is an amazing work of edible art! And then the Souvlaki..yummy. i always enjoy East European and Middle Eastern cuisine such as this. Amazing flavours and flame grilled meats. You can never go wrong with such mouth watering grills. Generous portions too at the souvlaki stall. I didn't even mind the 15min wait in line for my turn. As they say good things come to those who wait. :-) With the sunsetting whilst you relax, the festive mood is quite relaxing and quite so for us holiday makers. It was also good to see aboriginal buskers in the mix but I think they need more support as they were in a little corner that did not have much traffic. Otherwise kudos to them, their voice made music and simple wooden clapping instruments just make these markets take on that indigenous identity easily. You will always know you are in their land. The markets have a good set up, with plenty of sitting crates and tables and chairs. Picnic lawns and also plenty of soft sand on the beach for people to sit and watch the sun set over the ocean whilst tucking away into their food. Will always recommend these markets. A few wares stalls there too. You will definitely feel the hippie vibe easily. Mindil Beach Sunset Markets are a must, just like the much bigger Eumundi Markets in Queensland's Noosa!

Such a great relaxed vibe and a must do for visitors. When the locals choose to hang out and take their kids to Mindil markets then you know, it's a top spot.

We caught the last one of the year, and the atmosphere was family friendly spectacular. People bring chairs/rugs and a few glasses of wine watching the people and sunset. Very relaxing and should be 'on the list' if here during the season. A true tropics experience.
