We had an amazing weekend at the property. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The homestead is a beautiful heritage building with a lot of potential the sad part is that the home needs more furniture and a life as it feels like you staying at an abandoned building. Few things that help bring some life into the home could be: Speakers for music, more furniture, some indoor plants, polished timer floors, some nice curtains and some new bed, the mattress and sheets are very clean and comfortable just the frames/bases need to be replaced.

I was married here many years ago so it is very sad to see the dead gardens and closed homestead. We choose it for the lush, green gardens and amazing flowers. Mostly open for occasional days and markets, but a shadow of the best days. Edit (post owner reply): Great to hear work is happening. We revisit when possible, and I'm sure that many other Canberrians do the same. We will absolutely will return and see how it's all moving along. Thanks for the reply and update!

One of the nicest places I've stayed in the country. Beautiful little homestead, friendly people and exelent heritage. Not to mention the blacksmithing that goes on in the area is utterly fascinating. 5 minute walk to a beautiful river exelent for swimming in and amazing country side. Would visit again.
