Grabbed lunch here today. Absolutely beautiful! Fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. The piece of fish i got with my little pack was huge. Feels a lot more premium than just a fish n chip shop but its still down to earth. 10/10 would recommend
Nice staff :-), cook not willing to upgrade (I offered to pay price difference) fish in seafood basket. Fish is cheap and disappointed with that upgrade. Everything else was ok :-) They did provide us with plates for a birthday cake. Gave em one more star.
Visited today and every item had 15% added on to the bill..they choose to open on a public holiday but customers suffer for it. Not worth the trip.
You can go here after walking over the market. The calamari was good. The chips where a bit under done. You have music from next door.
The fish was great quality and reasonable prices. Friendly staff and good menu.
Ordered the grilled salmon and the portion size was tiny - barely 2 mouthfuls. Also ordered chips for two people and it was only enough for one. Food tasted good but portion sizes are way too small. Not good value.
This is a regular lunch place for myself and family when visiting Tewantin. They provide a good range of seafood ... fish, oysters, crab, calamari ... prepared in a small number of tasty ways. Which is key. Fresh is something that comes easy on an estuary river bank. But this place does Cajun Grill or English Battered, so you have options. Their sides are limited but really? Who needs more than fries or salad? And there's good beer, wine and softer drinks to wash it all down. I would have pushed to 5 stars but the eat-there options are a bit limited. Parking is always an issue (park away from the boat ramp area with its trailers .. the walk is quite pleasant) and there are relatively few tables (take your food and head on over to the picnic tables by the skate park). But if you're in Tewantin and hungry for good, local, fresh fish cooked well? Can't do better.
