Tons of photo opportunities from any angle you can think of. You won't be disappointed. You can just browse around with many other people and just enjoy the view of the Opera, the harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the ferry terminal, or have a meal, coffee or drink at restaurants, cafes and bars around, or relax by walking in a next door park and Botanical Garden. To sit anywhere around the Opera House and be a part of bustling Sydney Harbour with the bridge just across Circular Quay with all it’s ferries is a wonderful experience. One of the Most Photographed location/ Building in the World. Such a marvellous place. Basically a performing arts center, the Opera house located on the Sydney Harbour. We had been to this place in Aug/Sep times and I believe it's a good time to visit this place. It was very fascinating and really worth the time and money. We really enjoyed seeing this iconic location. I had clicked my Best pics here. The day we visited, a big group were dancing to some of the best Bollywood tunes. Good times!!!
Truly an iconic building for the city of Sydney. Although I was only able to stand outside and see this engineering marvel, I hope to go watch a shop inside sometime in future. The history of the building, the architecture plan, the extravagant spending which exceeds 10 folds initial budget, and most importantly how complicated the structure etc are truly awe inspiring facts about Opera house.
Remarkable place to visit once in a lifetime. Surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. Great place to visit with kids during the day or at night. Nice option to bring family and friends. Pet friendly. Numerous outdoor options.
If you want to say you have been to Australia, then you must visit here. The unique structure at the Sydney opera house definitely has its reputation. The guided tour runs everyday to explains the history behind it and takes you inside the opera hours to see what’s the deal. Certainly, if you want to experience it all, buy a ticket to one of their shows and sit inside the opera house and feel the stunning and grand theatre.
Are you kidding me...it’s one of the iconic place in Sydney that people visit from all over the world with Bennelong restaurant, orchestra, performances, gift shop, coffee shop and many more to mention and close to all kind of transports, major 5-6 starts hotels, shops, multicultural restaurants, stalls Fridays selling all kinds of bric-a-brac...highly recommended
Australia’s most iconic landmark. If you wish to catch a show, I recommend just using their website; it’s easy and you can just show your ticket from your mobile! I recommend walking around this marvel to appreciate the Opera House from all angles. Watched “The Choir of Man” and it was a joy to watch and such a feel good show. Definitely recommend arriving 45 mins before your show; gives you time to use the cloak room, have a pre drink and relax before the performance.
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE - This is the symbolic emblem of Sydney Australia. Although they said it was designed after a shape of a fruit but for my own imagination it has a similarity to half clam shell or Sea shell-like formation of the roofing. I was so impressed of the design! There are lots of interesting facts telling about how it was constructed. This unique architecture is so spectacular that it is added in 2007 to the lists of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Mostly the first thing to visit Sydney is to take beautiful pictures of this famous landmark because having this in your compilation of travels means having been visited Australia :-)
