The 2021 Merimbula Photography Tour was my eighth workshop with Mark Gray but no matter how many workshops I attend with Mark, I always learn something new. Mark teaches what I call the “Mark Gray System”, and it never fails. Mark is generous with his knowledge and advice and makes sure that everyone in the group gets personal, one-on-one advice. Unlike many other workshops, Mark does not take his camera with him, he is there just for you to get the best result, not to add to his own catalogue. The technical refresher at the outset is essential, whether a beginner or someone who has heard it before, because there is always something new to learn about technique or camera settings. At the end of the workshop there is a Critiquing and Post-Processing session which is a great opportunity to learn how to process landscape photos with Photoshop, using photos taken during the workshop, so you come away with two of your own photos processed by Mark. I can say without hesitation that I have learnt more about landscape photography from Mark than all the other photographers whose workshops I have attended put together. While Merimbula was my most recent workshop, it is not my last, I have three more booked!!!

My level of knowledge was quite basic compared to everyone on the tour, only my second time using a tripod! I never felt left behind or that I had less of Mark’s attention due to my basic needs and understanding of the camera. In fact he’s incredibly patient and eager to help you achieve what you want. After 3 days I felt so much more comfortable with the equipment and my ability definitely advanced. What’s more I experienced seeing some beautiful places that I wouldn’t of found alone. I just came home and I’m already looking for when I can book my next one. Trish

If you want a very professional and friendly service and you’d love to learn about landscape photography you really cannot go past one of Mark Gray landscape photography tours. Best locations, gourmet food, luxury transport and superb accommodation. Mark’s knowledge and love of sharing his craft are second to none. I would highly recommend one of his workshop/tours.

Such an inspiring day! I had just received a new camera when I signed up for this Photography course so was nervous as I was a complete beginner. Turns out most people on the course were also beginners and by the end of the day we were all taking incredible shots! The course is not cheap but it was a comprehensive 10 hour day with a delicious lunch. Definately great value for money!

I have completed 6 Mark Gray Workshops so far. Why, for a number of reasons. A Mark Gray workshop is well structured/organized. Apart from the amazing place that you get to visit and photograph, there is only 7 others on the workshop which alows for plenty of one on one with the instructor. You are well looked after for the duration of the workshop. Meals are taken care of, breakfast lunch and dinner. Accommodation is top notch. At the end of the workshop, you end up walking away knowing much more about taking great photos and with a memory card filled with photos of some amazing places. I highly recommend a Mark Gray workshop to anyone looking to learn or improve their knowledge in the art. I will definitely be doing another Mark Gray workshop in the near future. Thanks Mark.
