La Trobe University has shown it’s true colours in its opposition to artistic endeavours by firing its creative drama team and cutting dramatic arts from its entire curriculum. A university that opposes the arts is not interested in creating a dedicated, well trained workforce, nor are they concerned with the welfare of individuals or future generations with their callous disregard to art, an essential aspect of our story and history telling

They advertise themselves as top 1.1% uni in world but the courses are nothing special or challenging. The lecturers are amazing and will provide you with necessary knowledge. The course fee increase every year however you do not see any of those rises being put to use. You could pay the same amount and get into better uni where materials are challenging and provide you in depth knowledge. Courses are trimester based so you are overloaded with courses and assignments. They also cancelled internships for lots of students which basically was the worst thing that a uni could do. TLDR: not worth the money. Study at cheaper uni or go to better uni if you want your moneys worth.
As a half Victorian. I highly recommend Latrobe. However, for Sydney campus I have to say it's little bit small to be called an university. If u would like to choose La Trobe, the main campus in Melbourne would be a great choice. Great staff, great facilities, brand new dorm... U name it. My girl friend is now studying at La Trobe BUNDOORA campus. However, due to the covid 19 travel and the remote study, she is actually living in Sydney with me. Lol. She feels so lucky that there is a small campus in Sydney. Btw, the print price at Latrobe is really low. I always borrow her student card to print materials when we were in Melbourne.
NOT A REAL UNIVERSITY!!! Just one floor in someone else’s building and your not allowed to stand out the front (security will move you on) Course work rushed and a mess. Next to no facilities even getting my student ID took weeks. The “Information” desk has no idea about anything. Group assignments are a nightmare due to students not knowing any English. The online study is worse, outdated “Moodle” learning system is hard to navigate and confusing, assignments get lost, classes are terrible. Also extremely expensive!! AVOID
I have studied in this university for 1.5 year. The campus doesn’t have a good infrastructure for the amount of money they are taking from international students. The campus is just one floor in a high rise. Instead apply for Macquarie University it’s a far better university. All Latrobe have is Chinese students around the campus and you are going to have some serious issues when doing group assignments. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON LA TROBE SYDNEY CAMPUS!
