Honest, friendly folks. I had them take a look at my vintage Rado, just to see if they could get it running again, as the rotor was rubbing and the watch was not winding. They said I'd need a new automatic assembly and since parts were no longer available, I'd have to take it to an AD. Fair enough, and they didn't even charge me for their expertise. I only left 4 stars, however, because I sourced an original automatic assembly online and replaced it myself in 20 minutes at home. The watch winds and runs now. How well, remains to be seen. But if I, a layman, was able to at least get it ticking, I feel like they could have tried just that little bit harder.

Michael Arraiza at Horologist is not only extremely skilled and knowledgeable (having cut his teeth at some of the best watchmakers in the world), but a true watch enthusiast and perfectionist taking the time to appreciate every piece my colleagues and I have brought to him. In addition to his attention to the inside of a watch, the same attention is given to the outside as well. I have a watch case with a high-polish finish that was not polished correctly. When others said it couldn't be done, he took the time think through the problem and the result was fantastic. Watches are a personal item and if you are looking for someone that cares as much about your watch as you do, look no further than Michael.

Honest owner. Took in my Seiko Kinetic watch to get repaired, he knew right away it was a problem with the capacitor/battery but because I had it for 8 years said I'd still need to take I into Seiko for a service. Because the watch was only worth 350 and the repair service would cost 240 it would probably be better to get a new watch.
