A wonderful celebration of the LGBT community in Australia. The parade this year marked it's fortieth anniversary and it was even more special due to marriage equality being recently approved by the Australians. The parade goes down Oxford Street, the heads of the LGBT community in Sydney. It's very busy, very messy and very crowded. This is a party that all Aussies turn out for. The parade lasted between four and five hours with over 200 individual floats. It's a festive event!

Lovely experience, lots of color and people with warm hearts.Everyone turned the city into a dance floor. Its important to reach the street much before time to get the best views.stools on sale for 10 for those who cant see though heights :) I took my daughter and wife with me and both of them enjoyed the experience .The event was grand specially due to the 40th Anniversary of a culture that started in 1978.

The parade is good, very much a us vs them attitude though. Berlin Pride parade lets people randomly join in the parade and there is no fence.. it is a very different vibe. Maybe they can’t do that in Sydney as not enough people? The after party... went there when Conchita performed. The organisation was the worst I have ever seen. Once inside one building was open, another was then closed... the issue was security were kind of pushing the entire crowd of people with a fence thing... they could of just said move to X spot and everyone would have. I really have never seen anything like this before and it has stopped me from ever returning. Oh also the police presence when going in was just really lame.. this doesn’t happen in other countries.
