A great hand surgeon who is humble, honest and truly cares for his patients by listening to them. For 14 months I was told by 48 doctors there would be no recovery for my non-functional thumb, index finger and the four paralysed muscles in my forearm. I was ready to accept my loss and do everything single handed for the rest of my life. Dr Tawfik was my last hope. After trying various conservative treatments over four months, we took the surgical option as the last resort. Recovery started within two days and four months later, I had full use of my hand and arm. I can't thank Dr Tawfik enough. Dinaaz Lentin

I have been seeing Dr Tawfik for a fractured scaphoid. It happened at the worst time of year when i didn't think that i would be able to get in to see him, to my surprise i was squeezed in that week to see Dr Tawfik. I found him and his staff to be extremely pleasant as well as professional. Definitely would recommend seeing him to anyone.

I saw Dr Tawfik in late 2019 about Dupuytrens contracture, which I'd suffered for a number of years. In particular I wanted to discuss with him the potential to use Xiaflex, rather than a full operation, to straighten the little finger of my left hand. He did an excellent job in communicating what would be achievable (and what would not) by injecting Xiaflex to give more flexibility to the tightened 'cord' which which had contracted my little finger severely. The procedure went well and I particularly appreciated the follow-up appointments where he monitored and helped me manage the physio-intensive recovery period.
