Not impressed at all. Filled out the quote request online for my skiboat , ticked all the appropriate boxes and received a message requesting 2 colour photo’s and an inboard/ performance skiboat conditition report. Booked and paid for the report 240 sent them the photos and the report only to receive an email back within 36 hours to say the would not insure my boat. Rang them and asked why and was told sorry we do not insure boats with exposed engines. Fair enough if that is your policy them so be it. But include on the quote request engine covered or exposed or somewhere that this is your policy that way I would not have wasted taking a day of work to get the report done and the 240 on a report for a boat that they were never going to insure.

I do not like the Club Marine magazine Fee being part of the "Total insurance Charges"". I do not like that you have to call your company to opt out of this optional charge.I've been with Club Marine for 4 years and I have been caught out twice. This is similar to the Super Funds automatically giving you a life cover policy without you being aware. I am busy and just pay my bills with only a brief look. I did not expect this crude money grab from a company of your standing.
1. THE CLIENT NUMBER SHOULD BE SHOWN WITH THE POLICY NO, ON THE RENEWAL SCHEDULE. 2. THE BANKCARD NO. SHOULD BE SELECTED AUTOMATICALLY. 3. THE 5% DISCOUNT SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC OR BOTH PREFERENCES BOXES LEFT UNTICKED.
Club Marine offers a discount if the renewal premium is paid via the website. Why isn't this offered when paying by Bpay or by card by phone? I believe this is quite discriminatory. Why isn't this highlighted on renewal documents, eg Pay Online - Discounts Apply. A bit deceitful and I will be looking elsewhere next year for my insurance of this boat.
