WOW what a great course! Just finished my week of Graphic Design BootCamp! I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to gain some skills with the Adobe creative suite; Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator. The instructor Dan was very knowledgeable & always more than happy to help. The course covered loads in just 1 week... and they offer a course re-fresh where you can re-do your course within the year. You really have nothing to lose... this course is INCREDIBLE!!!!! ...Also like to mention the amazing email support offered after the course. Whenever I get stuck I email Dan and he replies promptly with a helpful reply. This support has assisted me through some frustrating situations!

A great two day Indesign workshop. A simple and well paced workshop and guide to Indesign. Course notes are easy to follow and I find myself revisiting them regularly. I knew a little about Indesign but the course helped to fill in the gaps and become more confident in using it.

I had the opportunity to undertake the Graphic Design Boot Camp run over 5 days in October 2013 - “Wow – Just Amazing” - Consisting of 2 days Photoshop, 2 days InDesign and a day of Illustrator training, this course is an excellent starting point for anyone new to Adobe’s design software or those looking to improve or refresh basic skills. Exercise files for each program were provided to work with during class and every new student was supplied their own full colour copy of each module’s 50 page course workbook to keep (each module having its own separate workbook). Workbooks for each of the modules contain detailed instructions and screen shots of the topics/exercises covered during class as well as sufficient space for students to make their own notes. Our Trainer, Daniel Scott, is a Certified Adobe Instructor and this comes through in the quality of the training, Daniel is very enthusiastic in his delivery and this keeps the class momentum moving and the energy level in the class high. Course topics discussed were given sufficient explanation and ample practice time to work with the exercise files provided, off topic discussions were explained at a level all students could relate to so everyone was constantly involved. The delivery of each of the modules was very well structured, with the harder topics being covered in the mornings and easy topics covered later in the day. We had every opportunity to ask questions when someone wasn’t sure and Daniel checked students were in a good position before leaving. I took my own laptop with me (I like the familiarity of my own machine), but students using BYOL’s laptops all had access to the latest software in either Mac or PC environments. I would absolutely recommend BYOL’s Design Boot Camp or Introductory courses, and I look forward to undertaking further classes with them again in the future.

I stumbled on BYOL after googling numerous sites for Photoshop courses. I'm sure there are great courses out there don't get me wrong but I found BYOL's website quite enjoyable to read! I did the Jumpstart Photoshop course that ran over 2 days. I am a total beginner with zero knowledge of the program, and I was able to follow the course at ease and learnt so much along the way. What I liked about the course was the way it was set out, the instructions was easy to read and follow and there are sufficient room for taking your own notes down - thumbs up here! I also loved the fact that it was a nice sized class where everyone's questions and concerns were answered and our trainer Daniel Scott made sure everyone understood everything before moving along. The course itself was a lot of fun as well as learning new skills, but more importantly Daniel didn't teach it like a textbook (cause that would just do my head in :) he tailored the course to suit the class that I was in but we all still learnt what we needed to know about this powerful program! Another great bonus is you are able to resit the class again within a year to refresh a few things learnt - great idea! It's a great course covering all the topics, our trainer Daniel loves what he do and has fun while doing it, and it shows, because it makes me want to learn. Had such a great two days learning and had fun with the class and Daniel....Want to learn Photoshop?.....what are you waiting for... trust me this course is bloody awesome!
