Reading through the other reviews it seems my experience is shared. They make you fill out a form with intended strength of massage, light, medium and strong. I picked strong, and the complete opposite was offered. The entire experience was a massive waste of time. Apon leaving i checked the form and raised a concern, the response was that I should have said something to the therapist. I made the assumption they can read.

I would like to provide you with feedback of my wife's experience of the Alysium Day Spa. I booked a surprise day for my wife to attend a two and half hour spa which included relaxing facilities. On the Alysium Day Spa website the spa was portrayed as a beautiful tranquil retreat where someone can go and relax. Only to find the complete opposite. The website describes that the spa is located in the Hilton Hotel, where in fact you have to walk into Fitness First to gain access to the spa. All the spa facilities are shared facilities of Fitness First, which is already an unappealing experience and far from relaxing. The change rooms, sauna and steam room are all part of the gym where people were training in the pool, making it somewhere one can not lay back and relax and enjoy the facilities. During the treatment, my wife couldn't lay and enjoy her treatments without hearing weights drop on the floor the whole time from the gym floor above. How could i ever recommend such a place.

Don't do it. Worst experience this morning. Access is through Fitness First so that didn't set the tone well. Although I filled in the form, and the masseur checked intensity of massage required I felt exhausted tensing myself up for the thumbs. Asked her to use "no thumbs" twice... my girlfriends had also paid for a hand treatment for me. The wax was SO hot I thought I was burnt. I just had to tell her I couldn't take it at all, so she gave me more massage.....Great. So disappointed

I was advised at time of booking that they were health fund compliant for a remedial massage. My health fund has advised that they are not registered with an Australian association so they are unable to pay benefits towards their services. The service is good without being great. They lack the premium experience that you would expect at this price point.

THIS IS NOT A SPA. IT'S A COUPLE OF TREATMENT ROOMS ATTACHED TO A FITNESS FIRST. THE CHANGE ROOMS, SHOWER AND POOL ARE ALL HUGELY BUSY WITH GYM CLIENTELE. Took my daughter here for her first spa experience. Given the title, I assumed we were going to a spa. THIS IS NOT A SPA. You pay spa prices though. Hugely misleading. Hugely disappointing. Absolutely NOT recommended. Do not go.

Booked a couples massage package with my wife. Included a 30min chocolate body scrub followed by a 60min relaxation massage. Both treatments were excellent, really couldn't fault it. The scrub left our skin feeling so good and the massage itself was perfect, the right amount of pressure and very relaxing. The therapists here know exactly what they are doing. Some of th negative reviews here are quite unwarranted, I almost cancelled my booking due to it but glad we went ahead with it. Yes the spa itself is adjacent to the gym, however, once you get into the spa itself you cannot hear a thing from the gym.

I had a bad day last week and my body wasn't really feeling energetic. I went to Alysium for a massage as it's near my office. Glad I did, it was such a relaxing experience, just what I needed. My backaches were gone and I slept so well at night. I'll definitely go back, I assume all their staff are all so well-trained.
