We had a fantastic dining experience here including one of the best fattoush salads that I’ve had. Super friendly service and as a table of 5, they made concessions to increase serving sizes so we all got a piece or serve of the dishes. It was also good to have a concise menu that’s definitely designed for sharing - perfect amount of food and we’ll definitely come back

We came across SaltVine on The Fork app, which was having a 50% off for this restaurant. The olives were amazing and well balanced (not pictured). The charcoal grilled chicken was to die for. It was not dry at all, and really flavoursome. The baklava ice cream was a generous portion and the hint of rose water in it was absolutely Devine. The customer service was average but granted they only had 2 waitresses serving pretty much a full house. Would have preferred if there were more servers as it was hard to get their attention at times. The portion sizes were quite small for the price that you pay (if you pay full price), but you're definitely paying for quality. Definitely worth trying, especially while the discount is still there on the app!

Located in a popular area on Crown St in Surry Hills, this Middle Eastern restaurant is serving up some classics with a hit of flavour. We ordered the banquet between four people as felt that was the best way to try a range of their signature dishes. Loved the dip selection, falafels and cauliflower dish. Must warn you to make room for the meat platter which they bring out forwards the end. Tasty, marinated meat. I only wished I had more room to eat more of this feast!

This. Place. Is. AMAZING.Staff is friendly, the vibe is super cool and their food is absolutely FAULTLESS. SO yummy, SO pretty and honestly with the Middle Eastern music playing in the background it just tops the whole experience off perfectly.Honestly could not fault this place, i was so happy with my experience here.

Amazing and delicious food! Each dish was full of flavour, generous portion and very nice presentation. Meats were tender and juicy. Salads refreshing. The baklava ice cream is a must. We left with full bellies! Relaxed atmosphere and a great place for groups. Good selection of beer and wine!

Food was not as good as expected. The hummus in Supermarkets tasted better than what they served us, which only taste of thick chickpeas with no seasoning. String cheese rolls were bland too. The cauliflower was alright comparatively, but the lamb shanks were too salty. Seems like we didn’t enjoy their choice of seasoning. Staff were friendly but didn’t know how to “serve”. Saw one holding my glass of white on the bowl side and serving two other walk in customers while still holding it and talking over it. Ordered a lemonade at the same time as the wine, but it came after 2 plates of food arrived. The place also didn’t turn on their aircon enough as it was so humid inside. Don’t think I’ll return ..

SaltVine was an absolute delight to dine at. It was my first time trying Lebanese food and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The flavours, balance of textures, and presentation were all amazing. The chargilled lamb shoulder was so tender and delicious, and my other favourite was the falafel dish. My friend most loved the king prawns and baklava ice cream dessert, so there's really a dish for every taste. The service and vibe was also really welcoming, and I would definitely recommend SaltVine for any occasion.

Before arriving in Sydney I didn’t know anything about Lebanese food. Except hummus which I already liked a lot. So when I got the opportunity to try the dishes at Salt Vine in Surry Hills I was very excited to try a new type of food. We tried the Syrion string cheese cigars (i am french if there is some cheese I have to try the dish ;) ) with coriander and tomato harissa . It was really cripsy and cheesy. Perfect to enjoy our cocktails, the Habibi Colada with a very intense taste of orgeat and the Seven spiced old fashion . Next we tried the Anabeet which is a dish made with fried cauliflowers, tahini, apricot golden raisin, almond and coriander. I am normally not a huge fan of cauliflowers but if you go there, please try it. It is just amazing. The salty / sweet combination works so well ! Then as meat lovers we tried the chargrilled lamb shoulder which was amazing. So tender you didn’t even need a knife to cut it. It will just melt in your mouth. And we also gave a try to the Scoth Meshwi with merguez spices, carrot puree and paprika butter. I never tried something like this before. The dish is perfeclty balanced, spicy but not too much as the carott puree is there to compensate and sweeten the dish. And as i am a sweettooth I couldn’t stop myself and I had to try one dessert. I had chosen the Baklava Ice cream and OMG it was delicious. The Baklava pastry is very crispy which works very well with the delicious ice cream full of pistachios pieces and the delicate touch of rose which bring you to Lebanon in one spoon ! I will definitively go back and advice this restaurant to my friends.
