Finn McCools has some stiff competition for the best Irish bar in Surfers Paradise. This place has a similar energy of homeliness to it that makes it feel like a fusion of Australia and Irish hospitality. The biggest draw personally is the food, so ridiculously cheap and of the best quality I've had for the price I payed for it I was honestly blown away. The 4 steak is the biggest surprise of my holiday here and I cannot recommend it enough. Drinks are well priced and the venue as a whole is lovely with great staff.

Absolutely fantastic place. Friendly staff, VERY COVID SAFE & great location.. James at the door is a LEGEND and deserves recognition for his excellent demeanour & helpfulness...go there. NO RAGRETS

Relaxed atmosphere.... personally I think best place for a pub environment. From front to back. Great fun people pub. Couple of shittee pool tables too at a reasonable price of four dollars,( chuckle), yet if you play doubles for a drink , it becomes fun. Neat place to relax. Enjoy everyone!

This is a terrible place. My friend wanted to smoke his cigar. We weren't allowed upstairs because of a private function which left a tiny little smokers area outside. No seats were provided and we weren't allowed to have have a drink out there. The staff were pushy and rude. Unbelievable. Don't bother visiting.

What can I say, after a surf and sun all day Waxy's is the best place to end up at for a feed, beer and a catch up with friends. Its my go to place. 10/10

I came here to visit a friend, thd staff were friendly and helpful and it was clean and tidy. My friend said the steak & chips dinner was great value..

I have been here quite often as I can walk from my apartment. Very friendly staff, an excellent range of drinks. Plenty of space and indoor/outdoor seating facilties. One piece of advice, don't go there when its very busy - the service tends to be very slow. Otherwise all good.

Great pub atmosphere and best Guinness on tap. Meals are very good value and prepared well. Staff are friendly and provide good service.
