Really good food, the sushi was super fresh, prepared amazingly and with beautiful presentation. The chicken katsu don was sooooooo good. The chicken was crispy and juicy at the same time with a flavor that is hands down one of the best I have had around. With a perfectly fried egg and the rice was also just perfect. The restaurant itself is really beautiful on the inside it's small but I think that totally adds to the charm of the place very much made me feel like I was eating in japan again. The staff are also very friendly and polite also adding to the charm of this place.

Old-time favourite places. Always busy, should probably reserve a table during busy times. It's unlucky they have a smaller restaurant than other places. Food is always good and consistent. Nicely salted edamame. The food does take a while to come but will be worth the wait. Reasonably priced. Great environment. The staff work hard and it's nice to see businesses giving Int students a job, so be patient with the staff. Keep up the good work.

Google algorithm lead me to this restaurant and I was so excited to visit here because I am fan of Japanese food. Today I ordered Katsu set and mushrooms/tofu donburi and shrimp udon(I forgot to take a photo of udon) I love the visual that meal set looked like really Japanese style meal set that I used to eat in Japan. *Flavor: Tofu was just fried with No taste(I do not mean it was not delicious but it had NO flavor like salty, sweet). Mushroom was salty and delicious but too much butter with soy sauce. In case of Kats set, 3 kinds of pickle( red ginger, seaweed and Takana) and miso soup( very nice soup) I actually wanted to have only chicken katsu but I recognized there will be extra fries with katsu. Chicken katsu was 4-5small pieces, rest of them were shrimp and one fish. If you want to enjoy a variety of food, it would be good. But for me just okay. Amount of rice was too less, so I had to order extra udon because it was not enough. I hope they offer more rice than other fries. I ordered shrimp udon and soup was not salty but simple and yummy. I am so satisfied about udon *Atmosphere : Very small shop with Japanese style which has own booth, so we can seat separately with other customers. I love this one. But there was too many ornaments on the ceiling, it looked crude to me. * Staff : Only one staff works over there but she could not understand me clearly, besides I couldn’t understand her. Just average worker who was not that kind but not rude. But she needs to communicate more clearly. * Others : Some menu’s price has changed and some menus were not available at this moment. Compare to other Japanese restaurants, price is quite reasonable. I love this point. Today’s visiting was just okay. I will visit again and explore other food again.

Food is great and so is the value however the wait staff are incompetent. They confirmed our drinks with us when ordered and only two came with our meals, the other three came an hour later and after several different staff confirmed them with us multiple times. One was legit straight from the fridge, why was that so hard?

My friends, family and I usually love eating and coming here! However we tried booking in a reservation last Sunday and the woman (staff member) speaking to us on the phone tried hanging up the phone with no context... we asked if we could book a table for 8 and she said okay and said bye.... She did not take any of our details... We then arrived and were told to wait. We waited patiently for an hour or so, to find that more then 15 people were walking in (they didn't have bookings) - we then clarified to your staff member about our booking... she then said that she never wrote us down in your log book.... she wrote our "reservation" on a small piece of ripped paper - felt so disgraced and disrespected - gross customer service from the staff member. (If I could give a 0 star rating for customer service I would).

Love this place! The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced. The drinks are very good as well despite the 15 mins wait for the ice blended ones. We had the lychee twist and it was so nice on a hot summer night. Small space but made very cozy by the decor. The staffs are very friendly and hard working as well! I noticed they have nabeudon and other Japanese clay pot dishes that has been hard to find recently. I can't wait to come back and try every items on their menu. Please check them out and book your table ahead to avoid waiting in line.

Easily the best Japanese in Sunnybank. Been a loyal customer since 2013 and I haven't been able to fault the food quality till date. Consistent, great quality (very fresh), good quantity and yummy food. Though everything on their menu is outstanding, their Aburi Salmon Don, Mushroom and Tofu Don and the Aburi Scollops are my favourites. Always busy (no surprises, given how yummy the food is) so, expect to wait a bit if it is a large group. Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonably priced and good environment.

Just be asked out of this restaurant with family, after reviewing the menu with families and informed only one hour dinning time. There are four tables are emptied and staff informed me that two reservation will arrived in 30mins so as we don’t have any reservation that we have to leave, then I asked staff how about another two emptied tables, staff told me these tables for COVID emergency use as I have don’t idea what she talked about, anyway, I wish they could tell me at the front entry that they are fully booked which everyone understands this is Saturday night, not tell your customers to leave after sat down and ready to order. Suggestion for the restaurant: please alert your customers on google or whatever booking website, please call the restaurant First before coming due to limited seats. As a new customer, I will appreciate that.
