Firstly spent a lot of time waiting for this appointment. Upon meeting Dr Stell found him to not to be very compassionate in regards to my condition which I have been dealing for many years. I am in constant pain, yet he made me feel that I was the problem. Really I wouldn’t be there if I did not have a serious health debilitating problem to pay 400. Did not really listen to what I was trying to tell him. Was not thorough in his examination but was quick to advise me to see another specialist. No further testing was done by him in regards to blood tests, he referred to my old MRI from two years ago and said there was nothing wrong. Advise me that my general practitioner is the one who should conduct more testing yet was quick to take 400 plus when leaving. It was a waste of time seeing him. When they don’t have an answer they refer it to it being stress related. This is my opinion of my consultation Specialist should be thorough and complete all testing before sending you to another specialist. Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews.

Don't be fooled by the glowing google reviews. I was repeatedly questioned whether I was 'really' in pain, (shock, I would not bloody pay 400 dollars for 'attention' neverminded from someone who deliberately talked over me and anything I tried to say about my symptoms, refused any care, and he washed his hands of any responsibility. Gave a useless presumption for my condition which had no medical proof beyond his own ignorance, spent about less than a minute on my MRI.
Left there feeling that I was in good hands.
Dr Stell gave me the most thorough medical test and questioning procedure that I have ever had, followed by an MRI scan that clearly showed a spinal cord injury in my neck. It was an enormous relief to have a clear answer to the cause of my worrying symptoms. Many, many thanks to Dr Stell and warm and friendly Jenny in reception. Frank Walshe
Both Dr Stell and practice manager Jenny are very kind and genuine people. He's not incredibly chatty but tbh that's a relief to me, just don't mistake that for a lack of compassion. He really cares and just wants to do what he can to help. He & Jenny have changed my life. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Dr Stell is a fantastic doctor. I was impressed with how thorough he was during my appointments. He calmly explained everything to me during my procedures in his room which made me feel at ease as I’m an anxious person. My initial thoughts of him was ‘no bed side manner’ but that quickly changed after the first 5 minutes as we got to know each other. I’d actually rate him 10/10 now.
Had to wait a very long time for an appointment with this acknowledged movement disorders expert. Welcomed us with handshakes and an apology for keeping us waiting. When was the last time this happened??? His history taking was superb-extremely thorough and detailed, going right back to childhood events. He asked lots of questions for clarification and listened attentively whenever we ventured extra bits of information. Took his notes in longhand, which we found reassuring. This first session went overtime which we didn't mind given how thorough he was. He said he would take the notes home and have a good think. That was refreshing too, because we get the impression with many specialists that they only think about you when you are in front of them. He booked us in again the following week for a physical examination. This was also very thorough. In presenting his diagnosis to us, he was kind, understanding and reassuring and spent the time to explain things in different ways. All in all a terrific clinician and a very sympatico individual. His manner is calm, serious and respectful. Would recommend very highly.
