Recently a family member passed and due to having used Newhaven previously we decided to engage them again, due to familiarity and to reduce the stress of this troubling time. The first interaction with Newhaven was prompt, professional and pleasant. Robert visited my house and together with my siblings we organised the particulars, and were pleased with how Newhaven were going to care for our family member. As part of this, we each requested to be contacted at the time of cremation so as to be as involved as possible and to ease the mourning process. My next interaction with Newhaven was the receipt of an incorrect death certificate (breach of privacy??) alongside an invoice for services. Subsequently we were not advised of the cremation on the day without requiring follow-up from myself, learning that it had already occurred. When I visited Newhaven to collect the ashes, they were presented in a box contrary to our wishes and previous arrangements that had been paid for in full. The receptionist disappeared into the back room and returned shortly after with the ashes in the requested cylinder. The avalanche of admin errors involved with this experience only added to our family’s stress during this turbulent time and I am personally very disappointed with Newhaven. I have had two contrasting experiences with Newhaven and this most recent one has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

My family cannot thank both Newhaven and Pethaven Funeral Directors enoug,h for everything they have done for us the past month. First our dear Aunty 95 years passed and as we had a prepaid plan for her with Newhaven, they stepped right in and handled every component of the many details, from collecting Aunty from her retirement home into their care to all aspects of the Service & cremation. All the staff, from Lyn, Jane, Tracy, George and Steve were amazing and nothing was ever an issue for them to deal with. Steve in particular went above and beyond on many occasions, especially when our dear little Chihuahua "Pedro" passed just a week after our Aunt. Pedro was put to sleep at an after hours emergency department and it was extremely traumatising for our family, especially not knowing the Pet cremation service they had recommended. It wasn't until the next day when I was speaking with Tracy in regards to my Aunty, that she reminded me they also could take Pedro into their car. Fortunately the other place had not collected Pedro as yet, so Steve went to collect him and I cannot describe the instant relief I felt when Steve actually called to inform me he had just taken our Pedro into his care! Knowing that he would receive the same loving professional care as or Aunt and actually previously my Father and Mother, made the world of difference. Three weeks ago we had a wonderful service through Newhaven for my beloved partner, Gary. Professional and understanding service was provided through Frank's great help in coordinating the service and his responsiveness to queries; Barbara for organising the music/photo tribute and the memorial tribute; Suzie the celebrant who did a wonderful job in capturing the essence of Gary; and the great service with the after service refreshments and readily available bottles of water on a very hot day. Positive feedback about the service was received from those who viewed from interstate and overseas. The rural setting and beautiful gardens fitted the relaxed mood of the service. Newhaven delivered exactly what we wanted and more. A Big Thank You Newhaven.
Frank was a great help to my family. He attended our family home and helped arrange a beautiful service for my grandfather. I totally recommend this company.
Our sincere thanks to Newhaven and especially Larry and his team for the fine service provided to our family after the sudden and tragic death of our son Tom.The caring and professional expertise of all made our saddest day both bearable and memorable, they accommodated the estimated 150 guests and mourners in a truly satisfactory way. The streaming service was utilised by those unable to personally attend and the feedback has been very positive.Guests also remarked on the pastoral and serene surroundings at Newhaven,Stapylton. Finally we the family of Tom Lewis cannot speak highly enough of our celebrant Megan who said the right things at the right time with such dignity and compassion.Again many thanks to all concerned.

I would also like to thank Barbara for all her help during this difficult time, your help and guidance was exactly what I needed while organising Frank's funeral. I was equally impressed by the professional and caring work done by Ross and Robert who guided us all through the process seamlessly. I would definitely and highly recommend New Haven Funerals. The staff are amazing, the Gardens are Beautiful, and the Live Streaming of the Service is a wonderful way for those who can't make it on the day to feel as if they were there. And a very helpful tool for the Grieving Process.
