What a lovely concept. Such lovely food, and lovely volunteers. Well done guys!! Pumpkin salad, japenese pancakes and the curry were my favourite!!! But the tofu burger looked incredible!!

Such a cute little place that has been open since the year 2000!!! Run by volunteers, vegan and you are the one that decide how much to pay for your meal. Highly recommended!
I really wanted to give 5 stars like the other Lentils in Melbourne but this one was such a let down...food itself was actually delicious but the service needs a good polish. I didn’t go there to stand awkwardly while staff have a yarn with each other especially in such a cramped space, you can barely line up to pay. I also felt ignored a majority of the time..it’s not very welcoming. Also I know there’s not much you can do about this but attempting to eat your lunch while birds fly everywhere around the food is a tad unhygienic as well as annoying, kind of like when you’re trying to finish your meal in peace & someone comes along & starts making you feel very uncomfortable..very disappointing.
Great Vegan Food but the pay as you feel is a bit crazy!! We ordered a few dishes to share and each dish was great. Something different to try if you are in the mood for a change of scenery
The okminyaki (Japanese pancakes) at Lentil As Anything triggered what has now become a deep and passionate obsession of mine! When I lived in St Kilda I used to visit frequently and the food was spot on. It can get very busy - expect a wait, to be seated, and to be served - don't visit if you're in a rush. But totally worth it. And pay it forward! :)
Really delicious chickpea curry and when I asked if they did seconds like some other lentil as anything’s I’ve been to elsewhere, they said they didn’t really but refilled my plate with a complete second serving, it was so amazing. Love you!

I've been a vegetarian for 23 years and in that time I tried all kinds of different meat free burgers and this one was one of the best! The food, service and their mission in general is amazing!
